Found this roadside bbq stand when I took my pup for some doggie training to a near by place. As I drove by saw a sign for bbq. Came back in the afternoon and ordered ribs and hot links. Mark of good bbq is the taste without sauce. Good seasoning rub used so your tasting the meat. And the bbq smoke was just right. Wife had the tri tip sandwich. She gave it 4.5. She’s a picky eater. Really likes this place. Beans were also very good. I’ll be visiting again. This is a to go only place.

I made a visit here due to the reviews were all 5 stars on yelp and google reviews. As well I was craving bbq, especially brisket. Just to be confused, surprised and disappointed when I got there. That the brisket is currently off the menu. So call ahead first before going, if you're wanting a certain meat. Why do I say surprised? Well, the location of the place is quite confusing, as if you're entering into someone property/house. Be ready to expect that, if you go. I give the man props for trying to bbq. But to be very honest, I've had way better. Was it the worse? Probably, but definitely just an okay. Would I try it again? Probably not. I had the 3 meat plate (tri tip, ribs, and chicken) which came out to be roughly $30 and some change after tax. The portion for the cost is way beyond expected and fair. Was told that the Mac n Cheese and Beans were made by him, while the rest is standard store bought. I went with the Mac n Cheese and the potato salad for my sides with my meal. I haven't gotten around to the potato salad, but probably know already what to expect. Mac n Cheese on the other hand was just okay. I personally prefer more creamy. But that's me. The food did come with bbq sauce. I asked for hot sauce and was told he had none/don’t make any. I ended up having to improvise that. Now let me explain why 3 stars. 1 = Service | 2 = Portion | 3 = Props. 2 missing stars are due to the food quality and taste. The chicken looks great and you can tell there's seasoning on it, but the skin was not even edible. So then the chicken had no taste, because all the flavoring was on the skin which you couldn't even eat. I tried it and so did my partner. It was like eating plastic. Tri tip was okay. It was tender, but a little over seasoned. Wasn't as medium rare/medium cooked as other reviewers photo shown. Last but not least the ribs. The ribs were just okay, but you can tell none of these items were smoked. I'm pretty sure it was oven baked and thrown into a grill or smoker to finish cooking process. Or if it was smoked then it was below temp and cooking too slow. Which explains the non edible chicken skin as well as no smoky taste or char on any of the meats. I may not know much to anything about smoking bbq. But I do know good smoking bbq when I eat it. This review isn't to bash and keep people away from going. Please go and try for yourself. This is my opinion and my experience. I will rate base on the overall picture. I love to try and support new businesses. This review is for the owner/cook. Cook like you're cooking for yourself. My review isn't to put you down, but to criticize your food for you to do better. And for people who love bbq to enjoy your food you present, so they'll always come back. Until then I hope in the future I can come back and actually enjoy your bbq, but better.

Definitely a hidden gem!! My friend & I were trying to find lunch while at an Airbnb & I stumbled across Eric's BBQ. We both decided BBQ sounded good & it was so close to where we were staying, meant to be. It did NOT disappoint!! I had the pork belly & my friend got the tri-tip. Everything was so delicious!! Definitely need to go back to try more on the menu!!

This is a stationery food truck. The pork ribs and the burnt ends were very tasty. The owner Eric is very personal and when we're back in the Lincoln area we'll stop again. Plus we're thinking about using them for a future catering event.

My love and I shared the 3-meat plate: tri-tip, chicken, and rib tips with coleslaw and beans as sides. We ate our fill and still had enough left overs for another meal! The flavors were extraordinary! The bark on the rib tips was heavenly! I really like the beans. All that for $28 dollars! Excellent, Eric! Keep it up! Every time I'm here in Lincoln, I will need a fix!

Eric is a nice guy out there smoking meats out in a hidden spot out by the airport. I had a Tri-Tip Sandwich loaded with Tri-Tip. little mayo and horseradish perfect. Just right off hwy 65 Trucks have a easy turnaround and can pull to the side of the road

We had a combo plate with Tri tip, chicken, burnt end and ribs. Mac n cheese and beans for sides and all of it was amazing. I usually don't love burnt ends but these were SO good! All of it was so flavorful and satisfying. I will definitely be back soon!
