I love their red pork tamales. The best I've had. Everything there is great. I live in LA, but every time I visit my daughter in Lodi, I go straight to El Lucero. Keep up the good work. See you soon.

I first came here back in 1993ish and would get their Chili Colorado burrito on Saturday mornings . Amazing simply Amazing!! Fast forward after some 25 years later I've made myself a route back and they did NOT disappoint!! I just tried their Chili Relleno burrito and it's a strong first place contender!! Glad to be back!

El Lucero Market has the nicest people and best Chile Relleno burritos in Lodi! I usually come here in the mornings for some cafe y pan dulce and its pretty cheap but HELLA good! I think Jessika is the owner and she's so nice, sometimes theres a friendly cat. They also have a-lot of imported goods from Mexico, they have legit Mexican coke in glass bottles and cookies.

Stopped in to get some pan dulce and burritos. This is a small grocery store that has a deli section. They have burritos, tacos, tortas with a variety of fillings. The burritos are enormous with a few different filling options. I couldn't decide what to get so we got a few and shared. Here's what I tried: Mole Burrito: delicious. Lots of chicken in the mole and the spice level was perfect. Chile Relleno Burrito: Get This! The cheese filling in the chile relleno is super generous. The salsa that came with it made it even better. Carne Asada Burrito Also delicious but the Chile relleno stole the show. Pan Dulce: I got a few to try. The cuernito (croissant shaped one with yellow, covered in sugar) and the pineapple empanada were my favorites. I also got some bolillos for sandwiches later. The bread is very flavorful and not dry at all. The pineapple empanada was probably the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go back next time I'm passing through Lodi. Overall, I recommend this place. Good portions. Good prices. Everyone was friendly.

They should hire a better cook. I bought tamales on Monday and they came out dry and hard.
