Store layout is the worst. I mean why is everything so hard to find on top if you can find it. Most items are out of stock and never come in stock. Also dont bother asking any employees because you wont find any or find any nice/helpful employees. Very disappointing coming from a manager aspect.
The prices arent that good to come to. I mean chobani creamer was 5.98 but only 3.68 at Foo4less. Insane price gap! On top of the horrible meat selection and prices. Horrible cuts of meat that no one buys.
Another problem is why is there a self checkout and 1 register open but only 1 register open later in the day? I understand about self checkout but whenever I go to Foodmax is a 20 min wait because no one wants to be at the registers. Also the self checkouts are the worst, they are so finicky that if you mess up once you have to wait 20 minutes for an employee to fix it to proceed your transaction (Im not kidding)

I have serious doubts about how FoodMaxx (and Save Mart -- same ownership) handle their fresh and frozen foods.
I've come to the conclusion that they allow their frozen foods, fresh meat, dairy products, and deli products to remain unrefrigerated during those hours when the clerks are busy refilling the shelves, and the doors locked to customers.
Oddly, I've had other food products that were damaged and inedible because they were frozen at one time. Here's how you can tell -- sliced cheese becomes a useless lump of food product. Instead of being able to separate one slice from the other, chunks of cheese just break off in unusable little bits and pieces.
I switched to shopping at FoodMaxx after getting sick of being sick from eating the food sold at Save Mart on Lodi Avenue. Unfortunately, I've had some of the same problems crop up at FoodMaxx.
I've made over two dozen calls to their main office and have never reached a human being. Left messages are never returned, so I am beginning to believe that they just simply don't care about the quality of their food products, let alone the safety of their food products.

Waited up front for a checker. Stockkperson saw me waiting but just kept walking . I asked this clerk if someone could help me and she replied” there must be a clerk up there”. I said there wasn’t and asked her to call someone and she replied “ just give me a second “. Very rudely. The clerk showed up with an attitude. I won’t be going back as this was not an isolated incident. The checkers at this location are very rude!

The front of the store and sidewalk should be better lit and the parking lot is very dark. Does not feel safe. Not sure if I will be back. Plus their prices are not all that great.
