Upon entering, my male friend and I were warmly greeted by two to three Sushi/ Sashimi restaurant staff. He and I chose the bar to sit as I only craved a couple hand rolls or nigiri fish to eat. The friend of mine has had an exceptionally difficult last few weeks with today he most likely became dehydrated from exercise in the heat outdoors and excessive running in the sun. A male server brought waters after I began scanning the QR code menu and smiling, browsing the food options. There was no problem there as I did not have to wait long for a refreshment or to simply be welcomed.
However, the problem was when after about five minutes or so- an effeminate waiter came boldly over to my long time trusted friend who was quietly resting with his head down after a long tiring week and rudely said,
“Excuse me if you put your head down one more time I am going to ask you to leave.” No apology. No manners or just a “please”. Nothing. Mean and arrogant and discriminatory as this employee did not even consider people with disabilities and that my colleague may be ill or sick.
That is wrong and though I have seldom eaten at M Sushi, there are other kinder more professional and respectful establishments all over Lodi and the San Joaquin area to enjoy like Thai House on Sacramento Street.
I will never bother to waste my or my friends honest money at M Sushi again as I have much more worth than to be treated So inconsiderate. No thank you!

Outstanding sushi options in Lodi. I had a little bit of apprehension because I was low carbing and I was going to a sushi place, but I ended up trying some really great dishes that were all 0 carb and they were all outstanding. Worth mentioning, where the fried tofu, the squid and of course the Brussels sprouts were all fantastic.

This dining experience was spectacular. The sushi rolls are innovative and delicious. The hand rolls are large and near perfection and all the sides add to the meal. Service is exceptional.

the food here is spectacular. very fresh and the presentation is really beautiful. service is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodation. Atmosphere for me is not so great. VERY LOUD, so it's difficult to enjoy conversation at your own table. also, it's like eating in a refrigerator no matter the season. in the winter they cheap it on the heat and in the summer they freeze you out with over air conditioning. probably trying to keep the kitchen staff cool at the expense of the customers. but i keep an extra jacket in the car because i'm never going to stop enjoying the awesome food. highly recommend

M Sushi in Lodi is always a treat when I’m in the area with friends! The atmosphere is a perfect blend of social and upscale, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a nice evening out.
