I'm from out of state and visited this winery. Since the place was beautiful, and many of the tables were empty, we decided to sit outside. Because we did not have a lunch reservation we did not get any service, and instead were pushed to leave by management. I can no longer drink wine from this winery, because it reminds me of my bad experience. I do not recommend this winery, and from the reviews on yelp it seems like many others are in agreement.

Today was not a busy day as it was stated. About 90% of the tables were not occupied. There were not more than 25 people. I was the father with the DSLR camera trying to take a picture of my family. There was not extensive use of a DSLR camera. I was abruptly stopped and did not take any picture. I am not a professional photographer, but a regular dad like many of you. The reality is that this business treats people disrespectfully. I tried to order a drink for my wife and daughter and was told that we could not get it because we did not have a lunch reservation and only a wine tasting reservation. Don't go to this place. Their food menu is limited and expensive. Their wine is not that good either. Go to Jessie's Grove. They are kind and will treat your family with respect.
They will mention a treat which was never done. All we have done is post our review with our experience.
They mention a bunch of rules which are not published in their website. Here are some of the rules which we found out during our visit.
- You cannot bring a DSLR camera to take pictures of your family.
- If you do wine tasting and try to order food, we will deny serving you because you don't have a lunch reservation.
- Ordering something to drink at the table you were given is not allowed if you don't have a lunch reservation.
- If your group does not fit in one table, you are not allowed to bring another table closer.
Why are those rules not in their website? In my opinion, some of those rules can lead to discriminatory practice which is what I feel we experienced. Go to Yelp and read what other people are posting about them. Google the people that have given them 5 stars recently and see that they are in the wine business in Lodi like them. Not real customers. If we support businesses like this, they will continue with their bad practices. There are plenty of other winaries in Lodi. Do the right thing.

Went a couple of weeks ago and I cannot agree more . Staff was combative when voicing my concerns . Did not make for a good experience . And they do not respect the policy that the customer is always right . Won’t be coming back her . I left in tears

Beautiful vineyard, staff is overwhelmed. I got some family together from different places in the US, for my grandpa’s 93rd birthday. We were really excited to spend some time at the winery together, but we were met with very unwelcoming and rude staff. We had a reservation for wine tastings, and when it was our turn they were rushing us. We wanted to order food and they didn’t let us. When we wanted to take a family picture they overwhelmed us saying it’s a private property. DONT RECOMMEND

EDIT BASED ON OWNER RESPONSE: We had a large party of 13 people, and a tasting reservation for 8 of us at 2 pm. The group that was going to do the wine tasting arrived on time well before the tasting, while the other half arrived around 2:45pm. Despite arriving early for the wine tasting, we were being pressured and were rushed to do the wine tasting at around 1:40 pm. We accommodated the request from the staff to do the wine tasting earlier than our scheduled time. After several repeated, rude encounters, a member of our party went to talk to the manager about how they approached us about taking family pictures. The staff hardly acknowledged that they could have approached us in a more respectful and kind way. At the end of the day we were very disappointed by the harsh treatment and indifference we were met by. It is clear that this establishment doesn’t care about how they make their customers feel and is unable to accept any criticism or constructive feedback. We have not received an apology and instead have been attacked online for posting honest reviews about our experience. Due to their policies, derogatory attitude, and hostility, we will not return and will never purchase wine from them again.

I was at the winery today and the staff did an amazing job. Kudos to everybody working so hard to accommodate what seemed like a busy day! I will for sure be visiting again!!

Made a reservation ahead of time and arrived on time. They were pushing us to do our tasting earlier than the reserved time as if they wanted to get rid of us. They didn’t even allow us to take a family picture with a profesional camera saying only phone pictures were allowed. We are not professional photographers. We just wanted a good family picture for our grandpa’s bday.

An anxious, uncomfortable, unwelcoming experience. Would not recommend. Would not come here again or buy their wine. So many other welcoming and fun wineries elsewhere in Lodi.

My family came to celebrate my grandpa's 93rd birthday and we were met with anything but kindness. If you want a fun, friendly environment, go to any of the other vineyards nearby, there's plenty. Staff wouldn't let us take a family photo with a nice camera, didn't let my sister order food, and didn't let us push tables together to sit as a family. Overall, mid wine, bad service, and nothing special.

EDIT BASED ON OWNER RESPONSE: Our group was not late to our reservation, we arrived early but were still rushed. There was no outside photography involved, that was my dad with his own camera trying to take the family photo. Clearly, the response to the review shows this place's true colors.

Wine tasting was good for 20 dollars for 5 choices . They were rude to us when we were trying to take a family picture. They wouldn't let my cousin order food cuz she didn't have a reservation. Bad customer service experience

I was so disappointed with the experience here. We planned a family outing. Everyone got dressed up and was so excited. But the staff totally killed our vive when we got there. They made us feel really unwelcome. Made us switch tables, wanted chairs to be placed in particular ways. They had picky rules about how to order food. They rushed us to our tasting reservations. And were super rude about us taking pictures.

Very delicious and the red wine better

Did a tasting with Ted, it was amazing. All of the wines were on point! The rosé was surprisingly delicious, from an exclusively red drinker.

You want Yvette. She’s the best!

While this was a 3 star experience for me, I'm giving them the 4th star because it is a beautiful location and they have a nice grill menu - which I unfortunately did not get to enjoy. The wine was actually quite good. However, the service was sub-par. It was toward the end of the afternoon, but the staff behind the counter seemed more interested in how quickly they could splash the next wine in your glass and move you along than in explaining their product or history. Try to make it a brunch/lunch visit.
