Stopped by during business hours and the place was closed. Least they can do is post holiday signage that they closed early or closed for Labor Day weekend, but nothing! Bad business practices. N this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

My wife and I recently visited Lodi with the intent of going wine tasting, and during our exploration, we found ourselves in downtown Lodi. This area is a fantastic blend of nostalgia and warmth, with a charming, family-owned atmosphere. There are plenty of small boutiques and delightful dining options. While walking around, we stumbled upon a lovely wine bar called Pop the Bubbly, which is elegantly designed, clean, and perfectly sized—not too big, yet not too small.

We entered with no expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed by our experience.

The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They seemed genuinely happy to be there, which added to the overall positive vibe of the place.

Both my wife and I enjoyed our own flights of sparkling wines. As enthusiasts of sparkling wines, particularly bruts, we were delighted by the variety offered. There was something for every palate, with an impressive selection ranging from sweet to dry, and everything in between.

The food pairing options were fantastic as well. My wife chose a flatbread topped with pesto, basil, baby arugula, spinach, and chicken, which was delicious. I particularly enjoyed my garlic fries sprinkled with Parmesan.

Overall, I would highly recommend Pop the Bubbly. They host a variety of events, and if we were locals, this wine bar would certainly be among our top picks.

Pricing is in line with what you would expect from a wine bar that offers a diverse selection of sparkling wines and champagnes from various regions, including California and beyond.

This place was so great that I really wanted to be in the moment, I did not take pictures so I do apologize for that

Cheers!

I’m not sure why this place only has 4 stars. It’s a small business so you should expect to wait a bit longer. The Cocktails and Champagne are tasty.

I hosted my daughter’s baby shower at Pop. It was a great experience. I was a little concerned with the time restrictions for set up for my event, but was allowed to drop things off the night before. The owner also allowed me to start set up 30 mins earlier to ensure I could have everything completed. It was an absolute success. I want to thank pop for being such a delight to work with. Loved the environment, comfort, and drinks!! Thanks again for making such a special event more special.

I attended the Bingo night last night and I would like to come back for it but I did want to review my experience. The bartender was fast and her drinks were delicious but I felt so bad for her because she was literally doing everything from taking orders, making drinks and handing out bingo cards. I felt overwhelmed for her! The owner was there but was occupied doing other things rather than helping her take orders or any type of help with that small event. Please get another person to help her for that and then it would run more efficiently than it had. Her espresso martini was sooo good though!

My friend and I made our first visit here yesterday. We were excited to have drinks and brunch. When we arrived, the waitress took care of us right away, which was pleasant. We were looking at the menu and weren't sure what to eat at the moment, so we asked for a cup of water first. After a few minutes, the waitress returns with the water glasses. Since we weren't sure about the cocktails yet, we ordered the food. There was only one order when the meal arrived. I gave my friend a confused expression. There were some misunderstandings between the cook and the waitress. We waited for the other order for another fifteen to twenty minutes which was ok because we understand things happen. The waitress never returned to inquire if we were ready to place our drink orders, which was really frustrating. We couldn't get the waitress's attention because she was always at the back. We ran out of water really quickly because our water cups only contained a small amount. We asked a different employee working if we could get our tab, and she said she would notify the waitress. We waited another 5-10 minutes, but still no tab. At that time, I went to the front bar and asked our waitress for the tab. She then told me that the other employee had not informed her that we were asking for the tab. The entire situation felt like a hot mess. The food was rated 3/10 and for the drinks … well we never got the opportunity to try them.

We stopped by this location on 12/15/25 at noon our way home and were impressed by the aesthetics—it’s a beautifully designed space. We ordered from the drink menu, and the beverages were fantastic. We highly recommend stopping by for the drinks alone.

However, the food experience left much to be desired. It took a minimum of 45 minutes just to receive an appetizer of bruschetta (which was bread and tomato), mac and cheese bites and a small flatbread pizza, even though there were only two other groups in the lounge. To add to the frustration, they were sold out of the baked brie and dip. If they can resolve their kitchen delays and improve inventory management, this spot could easily become a four-star destination for drinks and appetizers.

For now, I recommend visiting only if you’re looking for great drinks and have plenty of time to spare. If you’re in a hurry or planning to explore other places in downtown Lodi, the long wait for food could be a dealbreaker.

I’m giving two stars—one for the stunning atmosphere and another for the excellent drinks. With improvements in customer service and kitchen efficiency, this location has the potential to earn more in the future.

Great place to have hand crafted cocktails and delicious sandwiches made with the best in house made sourdough I have EVER had.
The owner, Kayla, pours her heart into this business and her customer service is great. Add Pop The Bubbly to your list of stops next time you are in Lodi!

One of my favorite places to go repeat customer. extremely disappointed there are no charcuterie boards anymore. It’s a wine/ champagne bar so extremely confused as to why charcuterie was removed from the menu.

Pop the Bubbly is the perfect spot to kick off a day of celebration. We recently went there for a birthday party, and it was the ideal place to meet up and start our day drinking with some fantastic champagne-based cocktails.

I was particularly impressed by the bartender—or maybe you'd call her a champagnista? Either way, she nailed it! After asking me a few questions, she crafted a drink that was absolutely perfect.

The decor is stylish, and the vibes are just right for a fun and relaxed time. We had a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot to enjoy some bubbly

This place is beautiful but the service is bad with bad food. Kitchen closes early, so if you want a hang out after work this is not a place to be unless you are just going for drinks. Murphy location is the best of all. Great staff with great food.
Excellent service. Hopefully Lodi location can learn from them.

The hostess was very accommodating and nice. They were having a private event but with the permission of their private party guest, allowed us to come inside and not have to sit outside in the cold/rain. Nice ambience and atmosphere. They had a photo booth inside for patrons to use. The ladies and I only had drinks, besides ordering stuffed mushrooms due to us coming from having lunch somewhere else. So, we willl have to return to try their food menu.
