This place is usually busy and for good reason since the food is delicious. However, inside seating is super cramped and it was reallllly hot inside and uncomfortable. We were seated and then asked to move to a worse spot so they could seat another couple there for whatever reason. Also, not sure if it's an understaffing issue but it took a while before we got to order and even longer to get our food.

If you have a party of more than 4, I suggest going somewhere else. The wait time is really long and when we got sat outside, the table was not even set up- no napkins/ utensils, we had to ask for it after our food came. We also had to ask for wasabi and ginger when our sushi came, which should have already came with it. The special maki rolls are good, but the sashimi were definitely not fresh. Got the 12 pc chef choice sashimi and not worth $30+ since it tasted very fishy (especially the tuna) so definitely not fresh! Dessert was also lacking. The fried cheesecake looked like fried spring rolls - not worth $8. Overall, your money’s worth somewhere else especially if you’re celebrating something special.

Must try Japanese restaurant. Food and service is great. Sometimes the owner will come and talk with people while waiting for our food.

Typical Central Valley sushi restaurant. I honestly doubt that the fish is daily fresh. With that said the food is decent but over priced. Note that I frequent sushi restaurants in the SF bay area and the price difference is not that substantial, but the fish is certainly not frozen and I can certainly taste the difference

What a great place. Time after time. With wonderful staff and great quality of fish. One of our Wednesday groups most popular choices to dine at in Lodi. Its small and popular. Will need to wait for seating if in a large group, and they don't take reservations

The sushi 🍣 is fantastic. You might spend a little more here, but it's worth it! They have a pretty large selection of sushi rolls. My favorite is the Code3. Mmmmmm.... This place can get quite busy but things move along fairly quickly. The tables inside are packed in pretty closely. So it's a bit tight and you'll be pretty close to the people at tables around you. Even with the close quarters, we still choose Kamachi when we want some great sushi. The covered outdoor seating is nice as well.

Nigiri took >30min and arrived long after my wife finished her meal. We order all at once.
Karaage was o.k.
No beer on tap, just bottles.
Soy sauce in pouch :-(
No water offered or brought to the table.

Food is great, very clean, the restaurant is a little on the smaller size and service can be somewhat slow at times. But it's worth it.

Always fresh and delicious; not a bad item on the menu.
Great food and a fun atmosphere
Better than you hoped for.
I was in town for a week and one of the locals highly recommended this spot as a must try while I was in Lodi. The food was amazing, tasted fresh was hot and had really good flavor. The staff was friendly and never forgot about me. It was pretty busy so it seemed everyone was well taken care of.
WOW, this place has gotten so bad, they used to have fresh sushi and now all the quality of the raw sushi is so bad that I’m never coming back. They also started skimping on their portions. Charged $8 for a large miso soup that was so small and half way filled, after complaining about how small the portion was they didn’t care to add more and insisted to charge me more. That’s the last time I go to KOMACHI. M-Sushi quality sushi makes this place look so bad!
Parking: Curbside pick up sucks as well. You have to wait in your car for 30 minutes just to get service.

I’ve been going to this location for years. Every time we go back, the food and staff are always great and consistent! I don’t think they could get any better! The inside dining is small, so make reservations or order ahead for take out at least 30 minutes before you want to pick it up.
