We were recommended this restaurant but it was not a good experience for us. We were waiting for menus, water, and just did get bread. We could barely get either of the waiters attention even though they were right by us. Sadly, they were quick and unfriendly when we did get them to come over. They took more time, were friendly, and engaging with their other tables (that were white). I feel our experience would of been better if we were white also. I hate saying that, but the treatment was vastly different and our service was extremely poor. The food was ok, we ordered the lamb but the sides were non existent. We had substituted the mash for rice, but apparently they didn't want to give us any. We told our waiter soon as he brought the plate out. You could visually see it was only like 5 spoonfuls if that on the plate! He reluctantly bought us a small bowl of rice that only had 2% more rice in the tiny bowl. It was horrible. We could of eaten at any other restaurant and they treated us like we should have. They told all the other customers good bye as they were leaving and we literally walked out without a word from them. In fact, one of the other customers by the door waved as we passed by them so they gave us more warmth and friendliness than the actual staff. The staff had time and put effort in creating a good experience for their other tables but definitely not for us.Too many other good restaurants to go to here than one that only caters to white people. I am leaving this review so they can do better! Please have good customer service for all your customers and not just the white ones. This is sad that I even have to write in and say this.

This is very small place. Our server was very friendly, the menu was varied as were the specials. Dinner was a bit pricey, but very good. However, word of caution, order your meat more done that you would like as the chef seemed to have a tendency to undercook. I had to send back my Med Filet as it was rare. I saw several plates go back to the kitchen as they were undercooked. However, all in all, the the meal was very good and we enjoyed a nice glass of wine to accompany the meal, but skipped on dessert as we were too full from dinner. I would definitely go again.

I wish they allowed more stars to give. The entire experience at Zin Bistro was out of this world. We can't thank them enough for making our 1 year anniversary dinner so memorable. The food left me speechless, from the appetizers all the way through the chocolate moose we had to cap it off.

We were from out of town, and we showed up without reservations! They were gracious and offered us the lone table they had available. Jeff and Brian were very attentive, and the food was delicious!! The steak was like butter, and the chicken was very flavorful! It's definitely a great place to eat!

A wonderful little bistro for dinner. Exceedingly friendly staff. Accomodating and efficient. Brian, the head watier/Maître d is exceptional and very entertaining. Great value. Consistently delicious menu that is always cooked fresh. Be sure to call for a reservation. Due to popularity, the small dining room can get full of happy patrons so be ready for some friendly noise. Also, be sure to cork a bottle of local wine with your meal.Parking: Street parking ususaly available. Can always find a spot across the street.

What a wonderful experience! We traveled to Lodi from Southern California to go wine tasting. Looking for a place to eat a nice dinner, we stumbled upon Zin Bistro. We were unaware that we were in for the treat of the year. We were the last group seated for the night. Brian was our server and boy were we entertained. I ordered one of the specials that night and I am glad I did. The sole was seared to perfection. I used the leftover bread to wipe my dish. My friend did the same with her order of flat iron steak. I want to recommend Zen Bistro to everyone reading this review. Brian is a kick and even though we were the last party seated, we were not rushed to finish. Did I mention that the dessert was to die for! Thanks Zin Bistro for the foody highlight of the trip!

We have dined here a few times. The food is good ,except the day old bread, and the people are friendly. The service can be a bit rushed. They could use one more person to help clear. The waiter expects you to move your plate so he can drop you main. Such a diner move. But like I said it is good for a quick dinner. Not a fine dining experience. If you have not gone yet, I would recommend you do.

This place isn't in the best location but the food and service was great. Had their special of the day pasta and my husband had the filet mignon. Most people were ordering their wedge salad which I was told was very good with homemade dressing. Both were very good and had nice portion. I was so surprised that they had Lemon Posset for dessert which is very rare to see and it was outstanding. When in area, would def return there.

Food is always delish. Staff is friendly, restaurant is small so it gives the quaint feel. I'm a huge fan.
