“TLDR: If you are looking for an excellent example of shabu shabu that won't leave you feeling stuffed and are ok with at least a $50 price point per person OTD this place is a great choice.

This is an example of you get the quality you pay for. On the positive the quality of all ingredients from broth to meat and veg are outstanding. The broth at a shabu shabu resturant is all important and too often it is lacking. Here the broth is a focus as is quality and one can tell.

On the negative there is some sticker shock with their menu given other resturants in a similar cuisine offer more quantity for half the price. I would advise looking at the menu before going. If you are OK with the pricing going in, it will be easier to enjoy. For my part I was simply walking past and decided to try it. Understand this is not an all you can eat resturant. However the quality of both the ingredients and service far exceeds what one would get at an establishment focused on making a profit by volume.“

“Great bar to try new beers. They cycle through their taps quite frequently but still offer popular beers. Tap 1 is more often than not a nitro stout. This is my go to tap to try new stouts, however I also like to try their meads, red ales, etc. whenever possible.

Atmosphere is great also. The AC is usually amazing. Wall decor is eclectic. Seating /tables are unique, industrial, antique. Each barkeep usually has their own personal playlist running so the vibe kind of changes in a refreshing way. Lighting is dim but doesn't feel dark.

Staff is often very knowledgeable, helpful, full of character and whimsy. I come for the beer and stay for the atmosphere / people.

In short, this is a great bar. Try for yourself and see if you like it.“

“Hey, la comida esta chingona, no se diga el aguachile, damn bomb, picosito the atmosphere is very good and the back when I been there is always to ourselves, the pool table, todo esta muy bien, las muchachonas, nomas only one thing, the music stops every 10 minutes or so and is all quiet, pero that's it. “First off they have the nicest staff. These ladies are so kind, and they have a great sense of humor. I’ve been here a few times when I’m heading east for travel trips. It’s right off the freeway. Don’t let the plaza fool ya. It isn’t the best looking plaza but goodness Jose’s Mexican Food is sensational. So far I’ve tried their enchilada plates, pollo burrito, carne asada tacos, chile relleno and of recent I got a pollo salad. The pollo salad was delicious… it’s just a salad right, nope this salad was seasoned to perfection! It was YUMMY!!!! Plenty of salsa’s to choose from and free chips… all at the salsa bar. You can also refill your drinks at the station… sodas, horchatas, Jamaica drinks. Prices are really good. I always order something extra to take on the road after I dine in to have for later and it’s still on point!!
