Bryan makes an amazing number of spectacular wines from a wide range of varietals. You will find something to like here! Plus, the tasting room is a must-see and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. We have been club members for years there. It is a world-class experience in Sta. Rita Hills. Go!

I will say that once the owner found out about all of this by reading my review, she tried to make things right. I have to give credit where credit is due. I am upgrading my rating a bit and hoping there are no further issues with my wine club shipments. I do enjoy their wines.

Negative stars for this place! I have been a wine club member at Babcock for 4+ years and have belonged to many wine clubs over the years and I can say that I have never experienced anything like the fiasco with Babcock (Briana, specifically, but Jamie got involved as well) regarding my fall wine club shipment. About 3 weeks out from my fall wine club shipment, I emailed the wine club asking if they could postpone my shipment by a couple of days because I would be out of town on that Monday-Tuesday (Oct 2-3, 2023) when it was scheduled to be delivered. Briana wrote me back and acknowledged they would ship it out on Wednesday for a Thursday (Oct 5) delivery. On Sunday night (Oct 1), I received an email from UPS about an upcoming Babcock wine delivery set for Monday (Oct 2), which needs a signature. I write Briana/wine club and she assures me that it is "just the new system" and that it would not be shipping until Wednesday for a Thursday delivery. Okay, fine. On Monday (while on vacation), I got a Ring notification...yep...you guessed it, it was UPS trying to deliver my wine. Unfortunately, I was out hiking because I was on vacation (trying to relax), so missed the Ring call. Later that day, I tried to call Briana...listened to the whole message so I could leave a vm...mailbox full, could not leave message. Next, I sent Briana an email saying that there was an attempt to deliver the wine. Never heard anything back that day. UPS tried to deliver the wine the following day as well, but, of course, I was not home. Finally, late Wednesday, someone named Jamie calls me and wants the UPS routing number so they can tell UPS to bring the wine back and tells me they will reship a "fresh" order to me the following Monday (Oct 9). So, while on vacation, trying to relax, I search my emails to find the UPS routing number for her (shouldn't they have this information?? They are the shippers!). Never hear another thing from them. Monday (Oct 9) goes by, Tuesday (Oct 10) goes by....no wine...no email...no phone call. Tuesday evening, I tried to call again, but, of course, no one answered and the mailbox was full. I send an email confirming that my wine has actually been reshipped...I hear nothing until Wednesday evening when Briana leaves me a voicemail saying sorry (again) that they dropped the ball and to call her. I try to call, but, of course, no one answers and the vm box is full. I send another email Wednesday (Oct 11)...no response. I send another email Thursday (Oct 12)...no response. I send another email Friday (Oct 13)...no response. So, here I am on Saturday, feeling completely frustrated, again, with the complete lack of customer service and any sort of acknowledgement that this has now gone on for over two weeks and I have spent so much time on emails and trying to get through by phone just trying to get my wine club shipment that I PAID FOR IN FULL on September 26th. They had no problem with the charging...just the shipping, apparently. Just unreal. The most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced. I will definitely be telling everyone I know to stay away from this place.

All their wine is excellent and Service pourers were over the top . Knowledgeable and friendly (thx Teresa) . The shopping is great and really just a super cool spot with a funky vibe. A must visit for anyone in the area ??.

Stopped in for a quick drink while driving between Solvang and Lompoc. We came away pleasantly impressed. In addition to the delicious wine there are plenty of thing to look at or buy. There are also plenty of chairs to just sit down and enjoy while the other half shops. Many of the items are good for small Christmas presents or birthdays. A fun thing to do is sign the guest book with your non-dominant hand. I did so under duress. Just do t tell anyone I had fun doing it.

We were here on a Wednesday, so only us were tasting. I loved the wines, especially Upper Crust Syrah. Ambiance is great, very eclectic. Disappointing part was the server. He only knew names of the wines & names of vineyards but nothing else. He should be learning about the products he's set& not looking at his phone.

Babcock Winery is absolutely sensational! The staff is beyond hospitable, makes you feel like you're apart of the family. The ambiance wise incredible, like stepping into a time machine! They have a wide selection of vintage items that are beyond entertaining. The wine is memorable, so much so that I will be sure to look for this vineyard when I return home to the Hawaiian islands. Thank you Babcock Winery for a once in a lifetime experience!!!

What a gem. The wines are bold, vibrant, different; single grape varietals, which you won't normally find made into a singular wine - brave wine makers. So worth the jaunt. Wine is different for each individual, you may find something you like AND if you don't you'll have a blast shopping in their shop. There's buttons, towels, napkins with funny sayings, just a large array of things to peruse while you taste wine. Our wine pourer knew the wines, was on point & made the wine tasting memorable. Cheers to the self proclaimed 'time traveler'. Very easy going place, looks as if you can bring lunch & eat at their outdoor tables. We shall return!

I had low expectations and they were not surpassed. Service was very friendly so that's why it gets two stars. The wines themselves were a bit acidic and not in styles that we prefer (very heavily oaked). More attention was placed on the vibe and decor than the wine.

Hands down, the best winery in Santa Barbara county. The atmosphere is amazing! Staff couldn't be any better! All around good vibes, peace and enjoyment. Bring a picnic, friends and all the rest is just waiting for you to show up. Enjoy!! Also, pet friendly!!

We were running a bit late close to closing time, nevertheless they served us and we had a great time. Staff so friendly and knowledgeable. We became members. Now we are so sad because we did not pack our SUV trunk well and two of the bottles we bought fell and broke. The wondeful caberent sauvignon and the beautiful Pinot Noir Anna, the two more expensive too. We ll have to come back soon!
