My husband & I came here for the first time last week. While the outside looks kind of run down & the area seems a little sketchy, we went in to give it a try. The inside is just exactly what you want an old-time Mexican restaurant to look like. Dark-ish with lots of booths & tables. It has a running fountain & Mexican style decorations on the walls. It's a large place & we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. We chose a booth. We were immediately given chips & salsa which were both amazing! The salsa was so good! And the chips had some seasoned salt on them, which was very different & very tasty. I had the shredded chicken chimichunga (sp?) & my husband had something like bistek ranchero (sorry for my errors in remembering the name/spelling). Both meals came with rice & beans which were both excellent! My chimichunga was amazing! So good! My husband enjoyed his plate but said it lacked a bit of salt. So, he took some of the seasoned salt from our chips bowl & sprinkled that into his meat sauce & he then loved every bite! I could only eat about half of my dish so I got the rest to go. Hubby ate all of his. We will definitely go back. While I & want my same dish again, I have to try something else. Hubby says he wants the fajitas next time. Both of our meals (with sodas) & tip came to about $40 (I think both of our meals were about $15 each). What a pleasant surprise! There was just one waitress working while we were there & she was super nice. We stayed a bit to chat with her before leaving. All in all, I give it an A+ and cannot wait to go back again many more times to try something new each time. I think this will be our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Lompoc.

Chips and salsa are really good. The 2 times I have been there have been great both times. Since it is up the road from a new job our company is doing, I look forward to keep coming back.

I have been eating there for almost 55 years. The food is always served fast and it is so reasonable. It's a great place to see all of the regulars for go there for TACO TUESDAY so it's a place for all of the regular eaters.
Vegetarian options: They have plenty of food without meat or fish.
Kid-friendliness: Families are always welcome there.
Parking: Parking is close and easy to find.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide door and isles.
Dietary restrictions: They have great salads and you can order anything to suit your restrictions.

I've never had a bad meal here in my time in Lompoc. So glad they made it through the pandemic. Hours have changed, but the food remains the same.

We love San Martin, our family has been going for decades but it wasn't open during business hours nor were they answering the phone. It sadly may have closed permanently.
Ordered a carry out of taco dinner. (Two tacos, beans rice and complimentary chips and salsa. I got two tacos beans and rice and that's it. Not even salsa with my tacos so had to eat them dry. I don't mind paying prices as long as I get what I paid for. :( Not happy
Horrible
