We enjoyed a bottle of Kessler-Haak 2018 Pinot Noir Ohana previously in an Argentinian Steakhouse in San Francisco. We made a mental note to ourselves that we'll give the vineyard a visit when we're in the SLO area. Had a wonderful wine tasting session today with the wine maker/owner Dan Kessler. Thanks Dan for your hospitality. My wife and I are both BIG fans of your wines...
Definitely recommend. This place is awesome.
Amazing winery, even more amazing owners. Dan and Ellen made our visit to the winery so special and enjoyable. It really felt like we were friends they were having over to their house just to enjoy wine for a couple of hours. Amazing Pinots, I could not choose a favorite! We were in town just for the weekend celebrating my birthday and even left with a special gift, and of course a few bottles. :) Definitely add Kessler-Haak to your list to visit!
Between the view the air the wine life almost feels perfect. Now add amazing jazz!
Am drinking last 2016 SRH Pinot as I write. WOW! Excellent wine at a great price point. Can't wait to try more vintages.
As a local, I know how many wineries there are to choose from. What I love about Kessler-Haak is the wine, of course. But what really sets them apart is their respect for nature and their great service! Fred is kind, knowledgeable, and a real "people person". The owner, Dan is also a really nice guy and it is always fun to see him. I love that they grow their grapes with a long-term vision of honoring the earth and those animals with which they co-exist. Though not certified organic, they use more than just "sustainable" practices. Eating organic food, its always a pleasure to have a bottle of their great wines to pair it with. My personal favorites are their Ohana, rose, and their sparkling wines are also wonderful. Great wines and lovely people... what better way to spend some time on the Central Coast?
Dan Kessler is the proprietor, farmer, wine maker, everything. He is an MIT guy. He knows what he is doing. He makes some of the best Pinot Noir you will taste in the Santa Rita hills.
Excellent wine . Enjoyed it. Good bubblies. Love the pick up parties! The negretti is my favorite. I became a wine club member.
I initially became a member because of Kessler Haaks Sparkling Rose, which is hands down one of the best I’ve had but their pinots have blown me away and seem to be getting better and better. The staff and winemaker are very friendly and it’s always a pleasure stopping by to grab my shipment!
Friendly atmosphere very knowledgeable about wines and the area locally farmed great Wines and good selection from sparkling to whites to reds very worth a visit

Wines are great, but what sets them apart for me is the customer service. I am kind of a wine geek, so I ask questions that most visitors may not ask. They always take the time to answer or find the information for me. Have meet Dan a few time in the tasting room and he has always found the time to stop and talk.
Fred and Dan are great and the wines are lovely.
This is a small family operation run by an MIT scientist turned wine maker. Dan Kessler makes amazing Pinot Noir and other Burgundian varietals that will soon be discovered by the masses. Visit him now that he is a small operation before the masses get there and drive up the prices of his wines.
Highly Recommended! Excellent Pinot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Rose of Syrah and pleasant knowledgeable staff.....enjoy!
Very good
