I really wanted to like this place, I had been looking forward to my visit. We went on a Friday afternoon, so I expected them to be busy. Service was good and the server was attentive. However, the food left a lot to be desired. We order the sampler plate appetizer and our food was lukewarm at best. The chips and salsa were good though, I hate rancid chips, but their chips tasted fresh. The fried ice cream which we were looking forward to, because it brings me back to my childhood of visiting the now defunct Acapulco’s restaurant…well that was not freshly made. Fried ice cream is one of those things that need to be made to order…this was not the case. You can easily tell it had been made a few hours prior, considering that the outside coating was cold and soggy. As much as I wanted to like it, sadly, I didn’t and will not be returning.

I had the fajita quesadilla, Catallac Margherita. food was fairly good. The salsa I didn't care for, it was too runny. The chips were really good, so I asked for avocado, and they gave me a whole bowl of it, that was great. The service was prompt and courteous.

Great food, prices are kind of steep (most places are now though, so...). Friendly server, good chips and salsa, amazing chimichanga and fantastic carne asada! We will definitely go back!

Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu! Servings are generous for a kids dish and comes with a soda!

El Toro Bronco is by far the best Mexican Restaurant in Lompoc. Food & service are excellent! I've never had a bad meal yet. My favorite is the ground beef enchilada platter. Their mild salsa is so good, that I often order extra to take home.
If you're looking for a great Mexican meal, at a great price, this is your place.

Favorite spot in the area. Molcajete is our go to meal. My husband and I share and there is still some to take home.

Ordered the "giant burrito" was $20+, was barely a larger than average burrito and tbh it was pretty bland for the price. Was expecting an actual big burrito thing was barely 4-5 In. Ate the whole thing and was still hungry after.

Food is usually really good. It was this time too ... all except the salsa... that was flavored water. It used to be thicker. I will still return because the main food is always really good.
