Great experience as always! John was our tasting guide at first but then Kiana finished our experience. Both were friendly and helpful. We are club members not only because we enjoy Sanford Pinots but mainly because we are always treated so well by the entire staff when we visit. Donna is a great wine club manager while Kiana is the best every time we visit.

Beautiful winery with excellent hospitality. The tasting experience is highly recommended — the staff is knowledgeable and very welcoming. Gorgeous location, perfect for a day trip from Los Angeles. The wines were outstanding; we ended up purchasing a few bottles. We visited in January and had a fantastic time.

We love visiting Sanford. Even when it’s hot inland, the temperature is usually more pleasant here. They offer an exquisite selection of wines and a picturesque patio, and the staff is always incredibly welcoming.

Sanford does Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and they do it right! We stopped in and sampled their wines enjoying both the vin and the lovely location in the Santa Rita Hills. Beautiful afternoon and tasting. Avoid the weekend crowds if you can and you'll have the place to yourself...the song of the wind and the pleasure of some of the finest wine the Central Coast produces.

Our host Neil was the BEST. As a veteran wine collector who has visited many wineries, HUGE respect for his experience and personal service. And the fact that he did not try to sell us a wine club membership earned him the highest marks in my book. Sanford single vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays are among the very best in California. Their sparkling wines are amazing as well. Our cheese and charcuterie tray was the perfect accompaniment to our tasing (make sure you upgrade from the estate to the full single vineyard tasting). This was so well done and we enjoyed it immensely. Bravo to Neil and the staff!

My wife and I had an amazing time here on our Sideways tour of Santa Barbara County. It was great to hear a familiar English accent amongst the staff, and we had the place almost entirely to ourselves. Wish I could have brought more home with me.

We had a tasting with Michael, and he was engaging without pretension. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the wines are still tremendous after all these years. Michael’s pacing was also nicely spaced between tastes. No hard push on purchasing or wine club at the end
