I am certainly not expecting super authentic Chinese food in small little towns that cater to predominantly Caucasian folks. I find that we tend to like more of a California fusion, than truly authentic ethnic foods. So while I must say what I ordered didn't taste authentic, it wasn't bad lol. I got the honey walnut shrimp, with a side of white rice. When I called in I was asked if I wanted the lunch size, or regular. Was pretty hungry and I am accustom to this particular order being on the smaller side usually, so I got a full order. When I grabbed my bag and I felt how heavy it was I realized I may have made a mistake. Would certainly explain why honey walnut shrimp and white rice to go was $24. The shrimp are quite large, and it easily came with 15 or so. Borderline prawn size. Kind of a small hole in the wall, things weren't remodeled or upscale in anyway, but it looked relatively clean. It did not take too long for them to make my order so my guess is that maybe they are premade m, and they weren't real crispy, normally I would not score highly for that which is why I am giving them three stars. The walnuts that are candied that come alongside were very good, Good crunch and flavor, kind of creamy and buttery inside. Some restaurants just throw walnuts on the side, they don't soak them overnight and then candy them. So I'm glad they took the extra time to do that. Now this is their take on honey walnut prawns Since they use shrimp, and the sauce they use doesn't taste as much like mayonnaise as it does coconut milk. They serve everything on a bed of lettuce and also pineapple which I found to be odd. But it gave the slightest hint of pineapple which complemented the coconut milk. It was very sauce heavy, so I would definitely suggest getting less sauce. A single order of white rice was enough to feed four people, so that was a bit confusing and I'm sure I paid at least four or five dollars for that rice, hence why I probably should have gotten the lunch size. I can't say that I would come back but if you live in Loomis I'm sure your options are limited, so certainly worth a try.

The coconut prawns are out of this world. Their are food is very fresh and great flavors. Have only ordered to go,never sat in the restaurant, but every time they never disappoint.

First time 2 days ago. Will be back. They put bean sprouts in the chow mein. Yelp wants more words to publish. Okay, there's more words.

Been eating here for almost 30 years, it's still the best Chinese food in the Sacramento area.

I've been going here for almost 20 years. Although under new Management and owners, a few years ago, it still serves very good Chinese food. Sesame chicken or general chicken is a good go to but I also enjoyed the Peking beef. Fried rice is always fresh. Pork or chicken . Soup is always hot and tasty. Egg flower soup is the best when you're under the weather (hungover)

Food is always hot and made to order. I always make tweaks to my meals and they never seem to mind. Food is always fresh off the flame so when you get it blow on it or it will burn your mouth.

Chinese food that hits the spot with huge portions!! We got 4 entrees for the 4 of us and had so many leftovers

Food is average American style Chinese. Portion is small. They do zero check in and no water refills. I am usually hungry 90 minutes after I leave. Regardless I’ll be back again for 5th time. Wish there are more options but small town life.
