When a restaurant specializes in a specific dish, you expect that dish to be great. That is the case here, Tamaleria Maria's makes amazing Tamales! The rest of the food is what you would expect from most small mexican restaurants, the food is good but the Tamales are indeed amazing. Highly recommend the Tamales, any flavor, they all delicious.

We we're in the area, and stopped for tamales. Unfortunately, in our opinion, these were some of the worst tamales that we've ever had. We ordered queso tamales, and chicken tamales. Way too much masa in both types, the tamales were dry, and the queso tamales had a hard piece of cheese with a strip of jalapeño in the center. We expected the cheese to be melted, and for the tamale to have some type of sauce to it. They did ask if we wanted salsa added, we declined, maybe we should have taken it. We normally go to Whittier, to Sandra's. Best tamales so far.

My girlfriend found this amazing location, the waitress whom helped us is super friendly, she explained very well part of the menu I asked her, she is so patience, I don't know her name but she is so nice. We really loved the tamales, and the tamale with lettuce, cream and cheese, so delicious, , the green juice and champurrado are so good, . And the best part is, the affordable prices,. we are looking forward to go again and try a popular dish

I came to eat with my son, we had menudo.The place is tiny and crowded, I'm ok with that, however customer service was not all that great. Not fast enough and they would forget things we ordered.Not sure if I would go eat menudo there again.

Everyone is very kind and it smells amazing once you step in ..THIS review is for the TAMALES.I have been getting my tamales here for the past five years but this year and last year the tamales were dry .this year I thought I just take a chance again maybe I just got a bad batch last time . I know Christmas time is their most busiest season . it happened to me again though !tamales were very disappointing they were super dry ? Some tasted more MASA, not cook well.and maybe like a sliver of meat or chicken in the tamale. my family and I were very disappointed. Unfortunately, we will not be returning for their tamales ?
