I was in Madera we were looking for something to eat. I saw a 5 star rating on a BBQ place so I decided to stop in. This was some good BBQ! I had the tri-tip sandwich and it was delicious. The tri-tip had a good smoke ring on it and the flavor was amazing. Everybody here was super friendly and they have some cool pictures on the wall of Madera high school sports. If I'm ever in Madera again this is definitely a place I will stop by. Stop in and you won't be disappointed!

Was one of my favorite BBQ places here in town until they were bought out by Phodera. They have since moved location under the same roof as Phodera and the food doesn't look the same.It was very confusing at first and had a difficult time even finding the new location. The lady that answered the phone and works at the front was very rude. Didn't even bother ordering food based on her attitude and recent Google reviews. It's sad to see such a once beloved and town favorite BBQ place go downhill.

Horrible not the same players bbq I had when it was on Howard the bbq chicken, potato salad and tri tip tasted like plastic

Not real BBQ, thought I was going to get meat from bbq grill but got grey tri tip, beans are not good. Wish I bought Famous Dave’s ?

The women that answers the phone is completely rude and needs change the way she talks to people or don't have her answer the phone at all. If it wasn't for my kids wanting this place I would have taken my Business Elsewhere.

We were excited to see that Players BBQ reopened. However it's not the same. They are now located in Pho Dera. Horrible customer service and bad bbq. We placed a large ordered for work and they shorted us 2 sandwiches.

I got the chicken bbq sandwich as as soon as I bit into it, I got chicken skin with rubbery stuff, not the first thing you want to taste biting into a sandwich. Spoiled the whole things needless to say, I did not bother taking a second bite. My partner got a meat plate, was unable to finish his either. The only thing I found appetizing where the baked beans. Other than that, will not be returning.

As this place is sharing a Korean noodle house for their barbecue takeout restaurant, I was not expecting much. Boy was I surprised! I had the hybrid sandwich with pulled pork and barbecue chicken. My wife had the tri- tip sandwich. Both were good size sandwiches with lots of meat and delicious!

I would not recommend this place at all. The food was not good. the fries tasted like they were cooked with a dish used to make other foods. the meat looked very questionable and tasted terrible I had one bite and threw it away. the place was very messy inside. I saw that they sell teas so maybe those would be good?? the food was definitely not it.

Great food. Great prices. Got a tri tip and bbq sandwich. Just wish the sandwiches were toasted a bit more.

They used to be great but ever since they were bought out by Pho'dera many things have gone downhill. The last straw for me was today when they charged me $.50 for a side of bbq sauce to go with my $10 tri-tip sandwich. This nickel and dime business can count me out!

First time ordering since they changed locations and was not what we experienced at old location. Sandwiches were greasy and pulled pork was not “pulled” but pieces of pork with a lot of fat, not what we came to enjoy in the past!

It appears that they have merged or bought by Pho'dera on Olive. That's the new location. Pulled pork has a weird tomato sauce, the ribs have bbq sauce on top but they seem like oven baked. The mashed potatoes with pickles and mayo is okayish, as are the beans with hotdogs. The garlic bread and garlic fries were the best part of the meal. Unfortunately they forgot the tri-tip that was ordered and the sausage was dried out after they split and grilled it. Sad to see another dining option eliminated.
