Nice ppl who own the shop and cook from the scratch on order. I judge the place by chutneys and sauces too. all were fresh quality. Owner wont talk pretentious, food preparation takes time, but they try best to serve

Staff is good.I ordered fish pakora but I don't like it too much because it was made up with breadcrumbs and PUNJABI FISH PAKORA never comes with breadcrumbs. It only comes with coating of BESAN(Gram Flour) only.Fish pakora i really don't like.I am a really good JUDGE of fish pakora because i am eating it from last 30 years.Believe me or not..So please don't use Breadcrumbs..Please..

Best butter chicken and garlic naan I've had in Madera ! The gentleman working there is super nice and quick service too ! There's tables inside to sit and eat at and it's also a grocer store with delicious drinks , totally going to be my go to place for butter chicken !

Good food from tiny store with a back kitchen. Friendly gentleman made some good butter chicken and the naan was delicious. My wife approved. I wish it came with rice but still it was great. Recommend calling in and using Yelp for a menu. I didn't see anything in the store showing a menu although I may have missed it.

Descent place for some Indian groceries and quick bite, however don’t expect them to have all the Indian groceries.

Walking in you would never know they actually sold hot food besides the pictures out side on the window. You ask for a menu or sit at the table and you will find them. But I have to say the Food was great and very filling the ambiance was neutral food came out hot and fresh . We ordered the butter chicken and rice lol I don't remember what it was Called. And a Somoza it was an acquired taste my daughter loves them. I will be going back again to try something different.

Loved this little grocery store/diner.. Once you walk in, you know what you are instore for. The food was excellent. I had some rice and goat curry, and it couldnt have been any better. The portions are just right. If your in the area, this is a must for indian food.

Atmosphere: Located on a busy street. This tiny plaza can easily be missed. The store is located on the far right. It's a tiny shop. When you enter, they have seating on the left for their restaurant. Right next to that are market items to sell. Cash register and counter is on the right. Restaurant is in the back somewhere. Couldn't see it, so you'll just have to trust that they're cooking within guidelines and regulations. A bit sketchy. Customer service: They kept their eyes on me the whole time. Food: Spicy. We weren't given the option to choose the spice level, so I just assumed it was going to be non-spicy. If you don't like spice, let them know right away. Tiny meat portion and fried food was dry. Overall: Go elsewhere.

3.5 stars ⭐We tried tadka dal, baingnan bhartha, kadai paneer with tandoori roti, rice and raithaFood tasted good and felt less greasy. We also took some aloo paratha to go and they are not the biggest you can get in dhaba but decent sized onesChai was $4 which felt a bit steep in price and wasn't tasting good either. We only tried the vegetarian dishes thereGood place to stop by on the way to Yosemite as the other restaurant in Merced (taste of India is horrible)It's located inside a grocery store with limited seatingVegetarian options: Many choices availableParking: It's part of a strip mall
