I very much enjoyed this restaurant. I had the Texas Platter with a house salad and chili beans. The only thing "Texas" about this platter was the size of the meal. It is served on a cafateria size tray and I was unable to finish the meal. The un-Texas (California special) Tri-Tip was very good. However, I could have done without the bbq sauce on the Tri-Tip. The shrimp were large, and the sausage was very well flavored. The half chicken was a little dry but very well seasoned and was great. The highlight of the meal was the chili beans. By far, the BEST beans I have had in a while. They made the platter!

Looking for a late lunch. Googled this place after finding the Black bear diner just down 99 slammed with people out the door. Food was good. It was noisy. If we pass through again, we would dine there again.

I would like to thank Sugar Pine Smokehouse for a wonderful dinner tonight. There were 19 of us dropping in from a 3-day convention, and our waitress accommodated us all. She was welcoming, and quick to seat us. She got all our orders right, and for the amount of people in our party, I was very impressed with her great service. She regularly checked in with our party to see if there was anything else we needed. Compliments to the chef(s) for all the delicious meals. Plates ordered were, fish and chips (cod & fries), tri-tip sandwich, house salad, the Texas Platter, Burgers, Steak, Chicken Avocado Club. The Sugar Pine Smokehouse provides a friendly atmosphere with a beautiful view of the the golf course. 5 stars!
Kid-friendliness: They have small burger sliders and fries. They allowed for our teens and tweens to have their own table. Our kids had a great time there, chatting and eating.

The best thing I've tried!!! Blu bites!!! It's new York steak cut into bites, along with sauteed mushrooms, neext smothered in their special sauce topped with blue cheese crumbles. Absolutely delicious ordered two sets it was that great. Will be back. Highly recommended. Even tri tip sandwich is good as well. Few mins from Hampton Inn.

Great food, ambience and service, our waitress was patient with us. I haven’t been to SPS since we moved to Ahwahnee surprisingly our waitress was from Raymond. The muni is a great location.
We came here tonight, no bar drink menu, it was date night no kids, waitress seemed confused, steak was over cooked so was bakedPotato, no flavor on the steak or shrimp. PleasePlease bring back SPS that never disappointed!!!!
