El Forastero Mexican Food

I order one Quesabirria and one chicken tamale apparently to get good service you need to order more. The taco was soggy, had the bay leafs inside and the meat was salty

Can't go wrong with a delicious burrito at 2am. The hours alone are great since I'm a night owl, but the cherry on top is that the food was amazing and the worker was really nice.

First of all, the meat is great, seasoned wonderfully 👏 and the fries for the asada fries are also well seasoned, which makes that dish a 10/10. The tacos 🌮 are all 9/10, and the burritos 🌯 were 8/10. The nachos are good, but the bagged cheese throws it off a bit. The chips are nice and crispy, and they dont get soggy too fast. No crema or salsa, though, so 7/10. The guacamole 🥑 was extremely watered down, too, so that didn't help either.
The chorizo con huevo 🥚 and papas 🥔 🌯 had very little flavor, but at least it was a good size, 5/10. The enchiladas were small, dry, little flavor, and covered with lettuce instead of toppings. Really disappointed 😞 4/10.
For me, I'll stick to the 🌮 and asada 🍟.

I've been to El Forastero multiple times but feel like an update on food needs to happen. I was so disappointed in the quality of my breakfast burrito. They put in over cooked, dry as a bone, fries for the potato. Completely inedible. Not their norm but good restaurants should be consistent.

Cant beat a 24hr food restaurant. Open late at night. Even gave me free food once I thought I had enough in the bank. My debit card was rejected but the employee gave me food anyways knowing I was very hungry and clearly couldn't afford the burritos at 1 am. For that I am extremely grateful and refer people here.

24/7 drive thru mexican food is nice, and so are the folks behind the counter, but I'm gonna say it: Taco Bell makes better mexican food than El Forastero does. Everything here is bland and flavorless. I swear this chain can't even make a cheese quesadilla taste good. And it's every El Forastero, to be clear. That 24/7 drive thru gimmick has to be the only thing keeping these guys in business, 'cause I have no idea why you'd wanna eat here when every single other taqueria in town, no matter what town you're in, makes better food than this place.
