It's not common for fresh tortillas to be made in the kitchen, but this place makes all their masa breads from scratch, and they make all the difference!A must stop!

Great customer service. Prompt and friendly. Beautiful inside and out. There aren’t very many options in this area but we were glad that this place didn’t disappoint. Although, the food tasted fresh, almost all of them including the tortilla were too salty. We still enjoyed them but just needed a little less salt. Hard to match the many delicious Mexican restaurants in the peninsula or San Jose area, but this place was solid.

I walking sat at the bar, the lady bartender was just mining her business complete ignored even when i asked her for a beer. Then the waitress who was right next to me , i asked her i wanted to order something to go, she asked me to wait a moment, i waited for about 15 minutes, she kept on passing by and just ignored me so, i walked out. Bad, real bad service.

The few times I've came here, they only have one server for the entire place, including the bar. I had to get up and ask for my own refills, napkins, etc, and so did the other customers.I don't blame the server, I blame management for not being willing to hire an extra person to make guests have a relaxing, enjoyable experience.Today as I was walking out, there was two ladies who were extremely upset about the exact same reason. Needless to say I feel they only care about making money and not about their customers...?

Where has this place been hiding? My husband found this place on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try. Thank goodness we did! We sat at the bar and our bartender, Cynthia, was attentive and jovial. The patrons were welcoming and friendly even though this quaint place was a bit off the beaten path. The food was excellent! We ordered a bit of everything: salsa sampler, guacamole (has heat), a puffy taco, an arepa, three empenadas, a pupusa, and a street taco. Each was filled with a variety of choice meats: chicken, carnitas, carne asada, shredded beef, and (oddly my favorite) ground beef. Everything is homemade, even their most delicious, soft, made to order corn tortillas. I seriously just told my husband that I wanted to go back already, and we just ate their last night. The lady next to is got the shrimp ceviche. I almost did, and I'm glad I didn't because she told me that it carries a lot of heat. Go for it spice lovers. They have a full bar and carry 8 varieties of Berringer wine; everything from bubbles, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cab. The place was clean, and the bathrooms were spotless. We will definitely be back again!!!

It's a small home converted into a restaurant. The food is good, but especially helpful was the fact that nearly the entire menu is naturally gluten-free. They do have burritos in the menu, which I assume are made with flour tortillas, but the only things that go into their fryer use corn masa. The pescados tacos were delicious. We had both the street style and "puffy." They will charge extra for the chips and salsa they put on the table when you sit down. I don't remember ordering that (or saying "yes" to it), but maybe my spouse did. It was $2.50, and the salsa was good, so don't sweat it, but just fyi.Dietary restrictions: They offer many menu items that are naturally gluten free, but there menu does but highlight this fact. Also, although they were aware of my need for gluten free dishes, I wasn't able to get any certainty that there would be no cross-contamination. Given the very limited options in town, I chose to risk it, and was okay, but that is only anecdotal support for their being gluten free.
