Delicious Thai food and service. We ordered Tom yum soup, papaya salad, fried catfish with veggies and chicken barbecue. I was also moved by the gesture of the girl ( who works there )brought water for my dog even without asking. They have a table outside for outdoor dining so we brought our dog also. Overall good Thai food and place. Will be going there for Thai food everytime I am in Manteca.

I was really craving some Thai food, so I decided why not give Chim Restaurant a try. I have lived in Manteca for a little over two years and always see this restaurant while scrolling through DoorDash so I decided why not give it a try. I decided to order the chicken Pad Thai and mango Thai Curry with rice. I love yellow curry but the mango sounded different and to be completely honest I have never had mango in my life so I figured this would be a good way to try it for the first time. Unfortunately when I got my order they had written on the receipt that they had ran out of rice. I don't know how it's possible for an Asian restaurant to run out of rice but I wasn't going to let that affect my rating because they gave me it a la carte so it was a bigger portion regardless. The curry was amazing, one of the best I have had to be completely honest, and that surprising coming from a restaurant in Manteca because most places down here are subpar to say the least. I highly recommend trying that dish. The Pad Thai on the other hand was probably one of the worst I have ever had. The noodles were so over cooked that it was practically mush. The flavor was super bland and the chicken was very dry, even the lime couldn't save it. I do not recommend getting that dish. On top of that, it's no extra charge for chicken Pad Thai but if you get a combination of shrimp, beef, and chicken they charge you 3 dollars extra? If it's a dollar extra for beef or shrimp, should the combination of three be 2 dollars extra since the chicken is no extra charge? All in all I have to give this place 2 stars. Solid curry but if you're ordering to go, make sure you have your own rice at home just in case, and don't bother wasting your money on the pad Thai. I was looking forward to that the most but was highly disappointed.

It was pretty good i liked the rice needed a little more flavor but still good the chicken is very good well cut up good pieces the soups are great nice flavor good amount very yummy just didnt get all the ingredients as on the menu maybe seasonal but still good great price love the appetizers. I will be back forsure. Its hard to find good thai. This is pretty good for price and area.

This was my first time here since the ownership change, and I have to say I was impressed. I called to place an order to go (did have to call twice about 10 minutes apart, but that all made sense once I arrived), and I had to wait a few minutes once I got there but I was in no rush so not a big deal. The food was great and good portion size, and piping hot when picking up meaning it was fresh and ready to go. The little bit longer wait made sense once there as he appears to be a one man show, but now that I know I will just expect it could take a little longer. Very nice and friendly, offering water while I waited the extra few minutes. Will definitely be back!

I came upon this place while looking for a good Thai restaurant on yelp and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. All the food is all cook to order and it comes nice and fresh to your table. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Ordered beef salad and pineapple fried rice. It took them 50 minutes to get it. This has to be the worst Thai beef salad i ever had. Will go to Ripon or Tracy for Thai food from now on. It is really sad restaurant. The rice was just as bad

Was looking for some spicy thai food and Chims got me exactly what I was craving for. Spicy tasty cashew nut stir fry with some basil fried rice. Yummmm! I also ordered Red curry and my husband and I just loved it. The taste of authentic coconut curry is what we were expecting. Chims is definitely going to be my go to Thai restaurant in town. Totally recommend it.

So after reading a review that said Chim could veganize items I decided to come here before a movie in Manteca. When we got there we discovered this was not the case. The ONLY thing that comes without fish sauce is the fried rice. Now, I know that this isn't going to be a problem for most people, but it needed to be said. The only vegan thing on the menu is the rice (without egg). My friend who ordered that was super happy with his rice. I ordered the pad ma kuer and it was delicious! Although I wish there was more eggplant. It looks like it came with only one. The tofu, as pictured, was extremely small! Something I yet again wished there was more of. If this were the case, I would've given 5 stars. It feels like it's skimping a bit on the main ingredients I was looking forward to. My other friend got pad thai, and it was good. But the noodles were extremely heavy, and hard to lift because of it lol though he didn't mind. I wish more items on the menu could be ordered vegan, but the staff and the food made up for that inconvenience! The staff were very friendly and that goes a long way for me.

I ordered pumpkin curry and cashew nut stirred fried over the rice dine in, sufficient-quantity, fresh, and tasty, when i entered owner who is the chef too explained me the timing how long it will take and what items they are out of, he is the only one was running restaurant, i recommend order take out instead dine in due to covid seems not enough staff and hard to maintain cleanliness, happy with the service and food, definitely will go back
