I wanted to like Tolum, but the experience was overall disappointing. The decor inside is really nice and gives a good first impression, but the food didn’t quite match the vibe.
There were noticeable delays getting our food, and when it arrived, some items were missing flavor. The milanesa torta was dry and really needed salt or some kind of seasoning. The pozole was also lacking taste and felt pretty bland. Drinks were disappointing too — both the lemonade and horchata tasted watered down.
On top of that, the food felt overpriced for the quality and portions.
Nice atmosphere, but the food and service need improvement to justify the cost. I might give it another try in the future, but this visit didn’t fully deliver.

I've been lucky enough to try this place out 2 times already and the food was great each time! The music/ambiance gives this place a nice vibe and the older gentleman who seated us was so kind--he greeted us with a handshake (so uncommon at restaurants, but such a kind gesture that makes you feel welcomed.) The waitress was super nice as well and made great suggestions both times. The 1st time I went was a Friday night with a group of 7 people and it was packed. The restaurant had just opened a few days before, so I will say that at that time, the drink and food service was slow, BUT the food and drinks were still delicious and worth the wait!! The 2nd time I went, drinks and food arrived quickly! I'm looking forward to try this place again soon!

Tried Tulum and it lived up to most of the hype. The chili rellenos and enchiladas were actually really good—well cooked and flavorful, not sloppy or bland like other places we've tried. Seemed like they actually cared about presentation as well. Service was friendly and attentive, and the interior is clean and nicely done. I would recommend.

We arrived about 2.5 hours before closing time with barely anyone there so wait was not experienced here. Celebrating mine and 2 other family members. We received our cocktail drinks right away which were delicious along with our beer drinks. Ordered when everyone was ready. Food came out surprisingly at a perfect time less than 20 minutes. All our dishes tasted amazing so whichever chef's was working tonight 1/17/26 great job everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiters Sophia and Rodolpho were great hostess and made us feel comfortable and welcome and never rushed us to leave given we arrived pretty close to closing. They even provided a fun mini birthday baile chant with a shot and desert at the end. We will definitely be coming back.
Food and drinks were a bit on the higher price but worth it at least to our group it was. Tip/ tip percentage is automatically added to your bill when it's I believe 4+ people so don't be surprised . The place has been renovated and has a beautiful boho clean look to it as you walk in, very enjoyable atmosphere.

I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent dining experience at this restaurant on {12/28/25}. This was the first time my family, friends, and I visited, and unfortunately, it was highly disappointing.
The quality of both the food and the customer service was extremely poor. We waited an hour for our order, and when it arrived, the food was cold and lacked flavor across all dishes. Furthermore, the meat was burnt.
What made the experience unacceptable was the automatic charge of $40.00 for a tip, especially considering the extensive wait time and the quality of the meal we received.
We found the service and food quality to be severely lacking. Due to this experience, we will not be returning to your establishment.
Greeted with a handshake by who seemed like the owner or manager. We ordered the Torta and mini tortas from the appetizer menu 10/10! Refried Beans and rice are the best in Manteca. Great atmosphere and service. If you’re from Manteca give this restaurant a try. Clean our plates!

Server took over 5 minutes to show, drinks took a long time. Kids sliders were dry, chicken on the waffles plate were old and stringy, the waffles were cold. Sent my order back, ordered the shrimp empanadas instead. They were tasteless and undercooked!! Coffee was super weak!! A waste of $90.00

Cute restaurant. Loved the tableware. Menu options are a bit different from other restaurants, but all good. Kids menu is available. Food was tasty and good portions. Beer was nice and cold. Service took a little time, perhaps they were understaffed that night. Music was loud, I like the music, but found myself shouting at times. Not sure why they had doors wide open, made it a little cold in there.
Overall was a good experience, we’d go back. Wish the owners all the success they deserve.

Inviting atmosphere, beautifully decorated, tropical, well lite, well variety of dishes, kids menu avail, breakfast, lunch, & dinner, fair and pricey dishes, music is loud & playing fun Mexican favorites, free chips & salsa, staff spoke English & Spanish, are friendly, and attentive with the guests. Originally, we heard Tulum having a brunch option with mimosas. They do have mimosas, no flights of mimosas, cafe de olla is avail, but no buffet brunch. I came with friends for a late breakfast. I ordered the peppery poblano omelet, friend 1 ordered the all meat omelet, and friend 2 had their french toast breafast. My plate was bomb. My friends were not impressed. Meat omelet was meh. French toast lacked the egg batter and was on the dry side. We plan on returning for dinner & drinks and see how things go.

We had dinner here for the first time. We had the enchiladas, quesabirria and 2 kids meals. The drinks were delicious and the food was as well. The service was friendly and attentive. Our server informed us she was new but we couldn’t tell by how she handled herself. The vibe is very nice and spacious. We will likely come back again
This place was amazing! A group of 4 of us went and the place was so beautiful. We loved the decor from the birdcage lights to the plants, the cute cups and mugs, the green colors everywhere. Even the bathrooms were beautiful. The service was great. Our host, servers, and all were so kind. The food was delicious! It is a little pricey but for the whole postive experience it was worth it. I've paid way more for crappy places ans crappy food. This place is a must-go
