We ate there yesterday while doing business in Manteca. Yelped around for Mexican restaurants and this seemed the best possibility. Plenty of parking conveniently located. We went in and were warmly greeted by Andrea. Picked a window table so we could watch over our jeep and loaded trailer. She brought us menus and chips and an intriguing light orange yellow salsa. Not too spicy but flavorful. We ordered Negra Modelas and perused the menus. Very many items to choose from! We asked a few questions and settled on the Chile Relleno with Carnitas and green sauce and the Camarones de Cucharacas because it was spicy! Ate some salsa and chips while waiting and the salsa was fresh and tasty and original! The food came and we were pleasantly surprised! The Chili Relleno was huge and very puffy and well stuffed with perfectly cooked Carnitas drizzled with a cream and surrounded by flavorful green sauce! The Camarones were perfectly cooked and tumbled in a thick Smokey Chili de Arbol sauce that had numerous chilis included. I kept picking up the chilis to suck the sauce off them! It was SOOO tasty! Both plates had a just right serving of not too runny beans, well cooked and seasoned rice and a simple salad that needed a vinaigrette. These both were the best tasting, freshest tasting Mexican dishes I’ve had in years!! It was around 5 and we were the only than one Togo order. Sad! This place is wonderful please go and support them and eat their excellent food!

Nope. This ain't it.
2 tiny street tacos cost over $4 on a 2 for one day.
The asada burrito is mostly beans and rice, barely any meat or flavor.
Restaurant was dead, zero customers. Should've listened to my gut.
Gave 3 stars for friendly/helpful lady while ordering.

You lost a customer by not carrying over the albóndigas soup. And I tried the caldo tlalpeño. Totally dissatisfied.

I've been here three times in two months. I'd come more often if I had more $ in my budget for restaurant eating! This is a pretty new casual dining spot in the same shopping center as Save Mart and CVS on N. Main. The menu has a good variety of choices, so as long as you like Mexican cuisine, you'll find something you'll like on this menu. The service is very attentive - the servers always check on us frequently. The food always tastes fresh and hot with good flavor. The salsa they serve with chips is a bit too spicy for me, but I'm a wimp with spicy food. The salsa still have great flavor and I kept eating it anyway. I hope this place stays open as it seems many restaurants come and go in Manteca and I'd love for gems like this one to stay around and develop a loyal local following. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for something new that's not a chain restaurant.

Since I married my wife who is from Veracruz Mexico I hardly ever eat at mexican restaurants anymore because she cooks so well at home. The food here was so good though, even the chips and salsa and homemade corn tortillas. I ate the the chilli relleno dinner stuffed with carne asada which I was surprised that they make it that way because most restaurants only stuff it with cheese. I was happy to see some Veracruz items also we'll be back for sure.

Tried the new restaurant Vida Mia where Fellos was. The inside was pretty much the same but the food was on another level. The chips were crispy, fresh and awesome. The salsa was too hot for me but I continued to eat it. Hubby ordered the flautas and I got the vegetarian wet burrito. The price was reasonable and the service was great. This is definitely a new neighborhood gem.
