Food was great, young woman with glasses helping us was very friendly & explained the menu well. 10/10 would come back food was very fresh & chicken kabobs were nice & juicy

I’ve been a cook for almost 15 years working in restaurants and this food is amazing , I enjoy it every time I visit . Highly recommend by me and worth the visit any day .

Maybe they had an off day, party of two, Saturday, 4pm'ish, chicken kabob was barely warm and dried out hard, and didn't want to slide off the skewer, turmeric rice was fine, wheat pita was cold n dry like right out of a bag, not even warmed up, dolma was perfect and delicious, tea was overly sweet but would have been delicious if not sweetened, kofte was delicious, hummus was delicious, Tzatziki delicious, chicken shwarma wrap delicious, overall would have been great with a little more care.(management) The potential is there, Also our server was fantastic, and the food not her fault at all.

Been here 3x when visiting my daughter. I kept thinking it was just a bad visit each time but I give up. This place wins for the absolute driest chicken kebabs on the planet and the prices don’t match the quality. I think they are precooked then cooked again using wooden skewers 🤷🏽‍♂️ We are from socal and the Med food there is always outstanding: chicken/beef kebabs are tender and moist and you can see them cooking on the grill using steel skewers. Try it and let me know - but I wouldn’t eat here again unless it was free. No Joke.

Their lamb meat for their plate is ultraprocessed lamb sausage! Disgusting! It doesn’t look like meat! I threw it away.

A Must-Visit Gem – Dametra!

Absolutely loved my experience at Dametra! The chicken shawarma wrap was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had — packed with flavor, perfectly wrapped, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put real heart into their food and service.

Huge shoutout to Hamada and Dmitri for making the experience even better — their hospitality, energy, and attention to detail made me feel right at home. If you’re in town and want amazing food with top-tier service, Dametra is the spot.

I’ve been to Greece many times, a gyro already includes meat, veggies, and sauce all wrapped together. But at this restaurant, you have to order a combo, which means you end up paying for sides you might not even want. It feels like a way to sell you more than you actually need.

The gyro was made with processed meat, not real, freshly cooked slices — very disappointing for a place claiming to serve Greek food.

On top of these, I had to wait for a while at the counter to order. Not a great first impression.

I use to frequent Dametra Fresh several times a month spending upwards of $50 to $75 per visit. I use to really enjoy the food. However as of late things have changed with the customer service, food quality and overall cleanliness. My last few visits the customer service wasn't friendly. I also noticed a price increase and a huge change with the food quality. Things that I had enjoyed in the past were no longer good. The meat was very dry and no longer soft and flavourful. The sauce that I always bought extra portions was sour and the meal was a sloppy mess. I was really upset. When I voiced my concern about the experience I was told not to return. Well that is exactly what I have decided to do. I will never support this Dametra or in fact their other businesses in Monterey or Carmel. I no longer trust their food quality nor do I trust their sanitary conditions. Expensive, poor customer service and bad quality food.

My lamb and beef was a dry, oily, bland portion and just seemed like it was sitting there for a while in the pan before I was served. They were cutting some meat fresh off the spit and I wish I was getting that.💯
Got a couple of plates to go...when I got home there was no pita bread to go with it. 🤷
