If you're anywhere nearby, you must stop here! Our non-gluten-free kids all gave it rave reviews. Don't miss the toasted marshmallow topping. I tried the bananas & caramel and the vanilla toffee ice cream and it was so good. The staff was super kind and patient with our big group.

I ordered a chocolate milkshake. The chocolate milkshake was perfectly balanced, offering a rich, creamy texture without overwhelming sweetness. Highly recommend!

Probably the only time I didn't finish eating ice cream and I only had one scoop. I had chocolate peanut butter - I couldn't taste chocolate at all and the peanut butter only tasted like granulated sugar.

Been coming here since they open. In the last year every time we come in the prices go up and the sizes get smaller. Really disappointing. This place was awesome 2-3 years ago.

We got the cookie ‘sundae’. Cookie was overcooked and hard- did not taste fresh. Should have at least been severed warm. The signature soft serve ice cream was actually really good though- so was the toasted marshmallow as a topping. Service was mediocre. They also had only 2 ice cream flavors? The rest were sorbets- which were actually really good, at least the ones we tried. But hardly a “creamery”. I also saw that many of the responses to people’s less-than-favorable reviews were quite unprofessional. No one wants to “reach out to a staff member directly to have your experience resolved” -that’s not the point of leaving a review. Reviews should be shared publicly so other people don’t make the same mistakes you did. If you give this place a chance, stick to the sorbets or the soft serve.

I was in town for a soccer game and stopped in to get a treat. My wife and I were absolutely amazed. The quality was amazing and the service was fantastic.

What a fantastic ice cream place. If you want something special this is the place to go. A bountiful abundance of unique treats. 😋 My kind of place.

We had a very good experience at moon scoops. First, the location is convenient. Second,The staff is friendly and knew about the different flavors and answered all our questions. Third, the decor is adorable., very well done and simple. Lastly, The ice cream was delicious and the toppings were free.
Definitely a place I will visit again!

This is the best place on earth. Anyone that thinks otherwise is delusional or lactose intolerant. My go to spot every time I’m in Monterey!

cute place but ice cream flavors are not what you expect

This ice cream shop is a total gem! It’s super cute inside and very well kept and clean. The customer service was great! Now let’s talk about the ice cream…there’s so many choices to choose from, my husband chose coffee ice cream and since I couldn’t make up my mind on an ice cream flavor, I chose to go with a strawberry milk shake. My kids chose a chocolate milkshake and a cookies and cream ice cream. Everything was delicious! It can get busy at times but it’s totally worth the wait! Overall great experience!

I went to moonscoops in search of a sweet little treat and was elated to instead find a place filled with wonder and joy. If it was possible to leave a six star review I would. I felt like I was reborn there.

After shopping at Target with my daughter we decided to go grab some ice cream and wanted to try MoonScoop (we normally go to Revival since we live closer). She had just a small scoop of cookies and cream which she enjoyed and I decided to try their marshmallow hot chocolate since the picture on their window caught my eye. I agree with some of the other reviews saying the milk tasted spoiled. I had my daughter try it just to be sure it wasn’t me and she spit it out in a napkin…so into the trash the $8 drink went. Idk if I just ordered the wrong item but I wanted to like this place considering they have such a cute esthetic and the employees seemed friendly.

Amazing flavors! The brown butter ice cream is excellent :)
