This restaurant is a gem in the tiny town of Markleeville, California. We went for dinner two times over three days. The first time was so good, we had to go again and try other dishes. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. Faith and her team are very welcoming and personable. Overall a great experience and we can’t wait to go back when we are next in the area!
A state of the art experience from the drive up highway 4 to the last sip of coffee accompanied by a divine slice of cocoanut creme cake.
The owner is absolutely welcoming and the ambiance emulates a magical scene from a Midsummer Night’s Dream. The two hour drive from Murphys is worth every bite of any meal you pick from the purposefully curated menu. 10/10 restaurant
Stonefly is just amazing from the warm, friendly, owners and staff to the exquisitely crafted meals and desserts. They have without a doubt elevated the dining experience...add in the quaintness of their little town of Markleeville and it's an evening out you won't want to miss.

The interior is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff. Despite some unnecessary music outside, the overall experience was great. It is a beautiful place for celebrations and special dinners, with top-notch quality meat and epic desserts. The restaurant is known for its special dishes like the lasagna, blackened halibut, and blackened filet, which are highly recommended. The owners are experienced professionals, and service is always professional and friendly. The staff, especially Francisco, provides great attention and helpful recommendations. The place is a hidden gem, worth the drive for its wonderful cuisine and breathtaking views. It is also suitable for vegetarians, with good options available. Reservations are recommended to enjoy this wonderful dining experience.
