I enjoy their grilled chicken salad! Chips are always delicious!! Great spot to grab dinner or lunch in McKinleyville.

We are from out of town. Went to this restaurant and thought that the food and customer service was amazing. And only $3 for ANY beer. I highly recommend.

Taxes charged if you order online are more than 19% (i.e $13.50 burrito has $2.58 tax). Automatic tip put in without the ability to remove it. There is no reason I should have to tip what you deem the correct amount, when I am picking up the food and do not have a server of any type. Way too much of a jip.

Great food, great people, and an extensive menu. What else could you ask for? After living in Southern California, I did not expect to find good Mexican food up here. Fortunately, Carmela's in McKinleyville is excellent. I love their burritos, and I usually order the vegetarian and it's so good. Best mole sauce I've ever had. Highly recommended

We've been ordering their carne asada super nachos on DoorDash and they are pretty great!

The service was fantastic. I went around opening time so there was very few people in the restaurant. I love their lunch special menu. I love their hassle free policy of paying at the front. Very casual place. However, the food was not very good. Their chicken flautas were very oily, super packed with chicken, and had a soggy tortilla. They tasted more like indian samosas (they used a strange cinnamon tasting ingredient) - the rice and beans were nothing special, neither were the chips and salsa. The food was very oily and the mushy texture made me sick mid-eating, I had to leave in a rush because I was going to gag. Very mediocre place. Will not return.

What business decides they are going to randomly close an hour early before closing time?!? What a joke. Refused to sit us.

I had a taco salad last night with no meat and beans and I got food poisoning from the food. All I ate was a taco salad which mainly had just lettuce and beans and chips and salsa.I have only had food poisoning a few times in my life. Please consider this before eating here. I will never eat there again.

Last year I stopped in this little restaurant while making a drive down the pacific coast highway and I still catch myself thinking about the California Burrito that I got. Hands down the best Burrito I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve considered flying back across the country just to stop in and grab another. 10/10
