Consistent service and quality with a good selection of food and drinks with a great sunset view. Only comment is that some of the food is a bit heavy and the tuna melt, while tasty, had a “cat food” feel. A pickle, celery, or other crunch would be an improvement for that sandwich. Will be back for sure!

Since this is a bar it could take a while to get in line to order food when there are other customers ordering drinks as you must order at the bar. The outside area is nice and has heaters plus dog bowls available for water. Food is your typical bar food, cocktails are available as well.

We had two beers, cabono sandwich, burger, Cobb salad and pub nachos. The beers were great, the sandwich, burger and salad were pretty good too, but the nachos were as basic as you can get. Think ballpark nachos at $16.00. Chips out of a bag, queso cheese (might be out of a can), pico de Gallo and a dollip of sour cream. If we go back in the future, I would order everything again, except for the nachos. As for the service, it's basically a bar that serves decent food. You order everything at the bar, and they send the food to your table, so there's not much real service, but the people doing it were very nice. Considering there's no table service, and you are expected to clear your table, their prices are a little high for what other service workers perform. Would I go back, the short answer is yes, but the higher prices won't make me feel like I received a great value doing so.

Great food and service. Very casual atmosphere. There is a sign at the entrances that explains very clearly how seating and ordering works, which was super helpful as we’ve been other places that don’t state so and you’re left looking around like an idiot. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Our family of 4 had no problem ordering from the menu with a variety of plates for each palate. Highly recommend if you’re in Mckinleyville.

I’m seeing some reviews say “expensive” and “you had to bus your own table,” and the “the food was okay.”
Considering that there aren’t a ton of restaurants around, it would be rather weird if this place was cheap. Secondly, it has a nice relaxed vibe with an ocean view, inside sitting, outside sitting (uncovered) and a beer garden (covered) All with a pretty nice esthetic.
You order at the counter, and you don’t have anyone coming to your table tending to you but this is how their service is set up, and I am sure if you needed help with anything they would help you. I honestly liked this as I don’t care for a waiter/waitress babysitting me.
The food was really good. My salad was super fresh and the chicken was delicious. Other food we ordered was a burger and stuff off the kids menu. I also had two different alcoholic beverages and they were really really good!
We went in as a family of 4, enjoyed the vibe, the food, and at the end we cleared our own table and had no problem with it.
I’d highly recommend if you’re in McKinleyville.

Food is delicious! Staff is very friendly & great service. My only recommendation is for checkout. It’s fine to wait in line for purchase of food & drinks ~ but would be convenient to not have to wait in line again (it’s busy) to check out & pay. Staff was wonderful though & food great! :)

Looked like a great place to go for a drink and some lunch, but it was not to be. We arrived 15 minutes after they opened and there was nowhere to park. The lot was totally full with cars even parked where they probably should not have been. Oh well. Drank and ate at a really nice brewery in Arcata.
