Sushi Spot McKinleyville

We love Sushi Spot! The music was pretty loud this visit, it was hard to visit with everyone in our party.

Service was excellent, our waitress- Kaylee (spelling might be wrong) was very polite and nice so shout out to her! Food was delicious, cooked correctly, fresh, I really have no complaints. I accidentally left my credit card there and when I called to inquire Kaylee answered the phone and was willing to hang on to it for me even though they were closed, and allow me to pick it up bc she knew I had a flight to catch the next day. She is such a sweetheart. 10/10!!

The last two times we visited this spot the waiter asked us “why did we not leave a tip”.

It seems super rude that they assume we need to leave them money and put us in the spot when we don’t tip.

Prob won’t be returning to the Sushi Spot in McKinleyville any time soon due to this…

Nice place, decent food, large fish tanks for your entertainment. Service and food delivery was quick. Good food, no complaints.

Sushi was good. Staff was not trained very well. Took me 15+min waiting for them to figure out the register to order. And after waiting in the car for almost another 35 min i went in the check in the order. Only to find out the chefs had forgotten and the waiter had to go back and make it for me because the chefs were now “busy”. Sushi quality was a solid 6/10. Not a bad place just wont come back.

I have always had a great experience at Sushi Spot and have probably been here a dozen times over the years. They are a great neighborhood staple!

This is the second time I've been compelled to give them one star, and I usually avoid this pace. Save your money and go somewhere else.

If you’re going to raise prices then raise your employee expectations as well. waiting hours for tempura yam rolls ordered more than an hour in advance is absurd. i almost have to have everyone order at lunch time for them to get their dinners before midnight. if you’re going to be on doordash, at least be honest about your real timeframe

Amazing!! The food was delicious and they were very accommodating (I was there with my 3 kids) The atmosphere was great and so was the service. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. Great customer service! Definitely will be back!!

I hope sushi spot takes this as constructive criticism and improves. I was so excited for this place but guys... we gotta address this. Why is your menu so limited and so expensive? There's a very limited fish selection, it's extremely overpriced especially for tuna and salmon being so abundant. Let me put it this way. I'm from 5 and a half hours away. I would rather wait to go home to see my parents and get sushi for two at that price at Blue Nami Roseville for the same price and extreme satisfaction. Im not kidding. Same price food, 5 hoirs off the coast with better service and menu. You simply must do better or allow someone else to do business here. I'm not impressed. Try taking notes from rooftop, theyre ok but overpriced but theu can be. By the way, this review was left based on personal experience. I left today before your server had time to save themselves after waiting 7 minutes to talk to me but I know why. They're trying to sell up your prices knowing you guys are a joke. So diassapointed REAL Californians want fish with no drama.
