The service is terrible and the food is prepared poorly. This is one of those places that people lie about because they can't be honest with themselves. It's an over priced, cliché and not worth the time or money.

My husband and I just had dinner here. I have been looking forward to the beet salad all week and it did not disappoint! He had the Ribeye steak with a lobster tail and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The prime dip and fries were amazing and the key lime pie and Blackout cake were as well. Our server Natalie was phenomenal. We are looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Thank you for the wonderful dining out experience Tin Lantern Bar and Grill!!
Excellent service. The lasagna was awful, soggy and bad bland taste.

The braised short ribs on top of the most creamy and flavorful polenta was 10/10! It was so good it was gone before I could snap a pic! I can’t wait to come back and try more on the menu. The drinks are so good and unique.

Love the neighborhood bar feel. The entire experience was great.
Appetizers=Poki-good, Polenta Frys-better, Crab Cakes-fantastic.
Main Course=The polenta and prawns and the Linguini and clams were both excellent. The Kastu pork chops were a little dry. We will definitely be back. I am looking forward to getting back to try more items on the menu. A hidden gem in the hills.
Parking: The parking is a challenge at first but when you get the hang of it, it works.

Really exceptional food. Service was excellent. We shared a grilled artichoke. Yum. Salads were fresh. Our entrees were all delicious. Two members of our table enjoyed perfectly cooked filets with fresh vegetables, two other members of the group had chicken masala which was really good. The place was a tad noisy. Highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Meadow Vista CA.

We loved this place! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food is a bit pricey but not any worse than most other restaurants these days and the food was great quality. Well worth the price. We got the meatball appetizer and it was so good that we continued eating the sauce by spoon even after the meatballs were gone! I got the chicken piccata, which was cooked perfectly with amazing creamy mashed potatoes and great flavor. My partner got the ravioli bolognese and cleaned his plate. We were so impressed. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants!

We made reservations and indicated it was our 30th wedding anniversary. We were seated at a small 2 person table, while there were plenty of open tables for 4. In fact the people sitting next to us was a party of 2 at a table for 4. We were crowded and uncomfortable. Our food was flavorless. We had risotto w prawns and linguini and clams. We ordered cocktails to start. Then once our dinner was served, we requested the wine list. The wine list was brought, but then no one came to take our wine order. We had to flag someone down. We were not offered fresh ground pepper or freshly grated parmesan with our pasta and risotto. Some of the fellow patrons looked like they just finished working in their yard... muscle shirts and torn dirty shorts. I am a casual person, but this wasn't the atmosphere we were looking for when paying $25+ per meal and celebrating our 30th wedding, which by the way, they didn't acknowledge. Save your money; go to Black Bear Diner or Denny's; you have a similar experience. Tin Lantern is no longer what it was; now it is no more than an overprice diner.

The burger was good. Needed some more seasoning for my taste. Good soft bun. The fries were well cooked. Just enough crispness to them.
Wedge salad was a good size for a starter.
The blood orange margarita stole the show. Great flavor, nice color. Tasted delicious.
I'm looking forward to trying other menu items.

Looking for a restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal. The Tin Lantern Bar and Grill has everything you've always wanted to eat. They have a high-quality pub menu with fresh ingredients. The steak salad (18.00) was generously portioned and prepared to perfection. The grilled artichoke (13.00) was bursting with flavor. The beer and wine section is from the surrounding area and they have a full service bar. This isn't a great date spot, but it is an excellent place to enjoy a healthy, hearty meal. Since there's nothing to do to prolong the date. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

My wife and I were part of large group and the food and service couldn’t have been any better. The wine list was outstanding and very reasonably priced. My wife’s salmon was cooked perfectly and my ravioli must’ve been made with fresh homemade pasta. It was very light and excellent. And looking around the table, people were all comparing meals and just enjoying the overall experience.
