One of the greatest tacos I have eaten in my life. I will probably never return to this town, but this meal will be in my memory.

This is hands down some of the best Oaxacan food I’ve ever had. If you don’t have anything to do in Middletown, I would advise you take a trip just for this food and that is good reason enough to keep coming back. The food is homemade, the best ingredients and the people are so kind here.

This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I went here two weeks ago when I was passing through town, and just drove an hour out of my way to come back again. The mole is amazing and everything is fresh and homemade. If I could give this place 6 out of 5 stars I would!

So good! Great service, great food, they stayed open a bit late to feed us, and the agua fresca was really good.
Handmade blue corn tortillas! Sweet service, fresh food, a chill environment, and family, friendly staff. Highly recommended

If you are used to taco trucks and Taco Bell, Albiertos and the like, you probably won't like this place. They do have burritos and tacos; no refried beans or taco salad, etc. I got the chicken mole with rice (their most expensive dish-$20.00) but could not eat it; too hot and the chocolate sauce was nasty. My daughter got the burrito- it was just "ok" but not much flavor. The inside dining area was very hot (it was 106 outside, no air inside), so we ate in the car with the engine running and the air ON. Won't eat there again.

Tucked away in an unassuming corner, this place is a hidden gem. The dining room, adorned with vibrant Mexican artwork and a concert flickering on the TV, felt like stepping into abuela’s home. The warmth of the service made you feel as if you were about to experience some legendary home-cooked food.
We settled in, greeted by fresh chips and a tangy salsa verde that woke up the taste buds. We decided to share the torta birria, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. Imagine a French dip taking a wild trip to Oaxaca, soaking up flavors and stories along the way. This sandwich was a masterpiece, a fusion of tradition and adventure.
Ten out of ten, I’m coming back for more. The visit was made even richer by an impromptu Spanish lesson and a delightful chat with the owner. “Quiero ordina tortas birria por favor!”

Another hidden spot in Middletown. The asada burrito is delicious and super tender meat. The Al pastor is one of a kind sweet and tender and if you add hot sauce that they give you it’s on another level of flavor. Gotta come back and try the tlayudas.

This is the BEST most authentic Oaxacan food I have ever had in America. I ordered the birria and my partner ordered the Tlayuda and they were both absolutely amazing. I will be back every time I pass through this town.
Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to corn & wheat and they made me a special dish to without any of my allergens.

The best quality Mexican food I've had in years! I traveled to Oaxaca 6 years ago and have been missing Oaxacan food ever since. I got a tlayuda and my partner got the birria and they were both so delicious, and transported me back my travels in Mexico. Thank you so much for bringing this food to Middletown!

Absolutely outstanding! I ordered a three taco plate. The corn tortillas were clearly made today, the meat perfectly seasoned and cooked. My favorite part though is the chopped cactus mixed in. Topped with a little green salsa, it’s heaven on a plate. Take a chance on this new roadside gem.

Authentic Oaxacan food. This town is lucky to have it. The blue corn tortillas are hand made, soft, and don’t fall apart.
