the cafe has a great selection of food, they even have vegetarian & vegan options, plus made to order espresso drinks, fresh coffee, smoothies, ice cream, and more.
We spent our morning driving the Lassen park road from north to south - had stopped in at the Loomis Museum the afternoon before to plan the trip and which direction we wanted to go. We decided to end at the south end so we could get our son's Junior Ranger badge after the drive and grab lunch at the "cafe". First, the gift shop is fantastic - I was worried based on the selection near the Loomis that there wouldn't be much, but we were pleasantly surprised....
You can eat inside or outside. The Lodge restaurant and cafe are the same place. Menu is not that big. But the food was tasty. If you can't climb stairs, then enter the walkway from the side of the store.
