This lodge has seen better days, but the rooms were comfortable, the shower/plumbing were great. There was plenty of hot water and the location (15 minutes from the park), the staff and the food were fantastic for someone passing through.Rooms: Rooms are dated, but serviceable. There is not any AC (only a ceiling fan) but with the cool mountain nights, there is great hydronic wall heat.Nearby activities: You really can't get any closer to the south entrance of the park!Food...
Basic motel run by the nicest family. Rooms are rustic and simple but clean. Restaurant was solid and both dinner and breakfast were good quality and value. Highlight was the staff (family) who were wonderfully friendly and really hustled to take care of everyone.
The lodge was pretty decent to accommodate in but the room I stayed in which was room 27 didn’t have the toilet bolted all the way down on the floor. Also the closet door wouldn’t close all the way. The restaurant however had a delicious pull pork sandwich and a chocolate peanut butter swirl. Me and my friends did play pool in the game room which was nice. Brandy was a good waitress as well.
