Casual restaurant with excellent BBQ! All the meal my family had were delicious! Cheesesteak, pulled pork sandwich, Bigfoot fries, sweet potato fries and burger. The shakes were also great! Next time we will try the pizza!

Walked in after a long drive through the Avenue of the Giants and we're looking forward to sitting down for a hot meal while it was warm and ok it was roughly about on par with Olive Garden if not a step below in regards to quality of food. My ravioli was barely warm clearly hadn't been heated enough out of the box and their soup of the day wasn't even made in house. Our waitress (black hair, hoop earrings) didn't smile once and had no interest in talking to us about the food other normalities. The music and aesthetics inside were nice though.

We have eaten two meals at the Cafe. One lunch in the fall of 2021 and lunch spring of 2022. Both meals were wonderful. There was a recent ownership change, but the new owners appear to be continuing the awesome service. The most recent lunch there we got there a bit before they opened. We were invited to sit on the porch and were served coffee and tea while they got ready to open. Very nice service, Thanks. Now Aug 2025. Had lunch again on our way north. I am pleased to report all is still well at the Avenue cafe.

Great little location and the food was good! We were very disappointed in the service we received from Isabella. She was very curt and hardly acknowledged us. No thank you's and when we would ask for something she would get it for us but seemed to be in a big rush and would not say a word. There was a couple that sat down at another one of the outdoor tables. She walked right up to them and told them they needed to wait in line for that table. They informed her that the hostess inside told them they could sit there. She responded by saying fine! You can sit there then. After about 10 minutes of no one checking on them they got up and left. Hopefully she was just having an off day. A lesson or two and common courtesy, warmth and kindness would be helpful! The other waitress working outside was very bubbly and continually checking on her customers.
Seriously, the best calzone I've ever had! And they were very welcoming to our dogs!

the food was great. my husband had the house salad. Very nicely presented and large portions. We had The Mushroom Swiss and the Big foot burger. The fries were seasoned and the burgers were cooked just right. Good amount of food for the price. We had one burger come out with only the bottom bun, but the staff was quick to remedy the missing bun.

Absolute must if you’re driving through the Avenue of the Giants! My calzone was amazing! My son ate every bite of his spaghetti. We got the milkshakes and a pizza to go, it was divine! Left very fat and happy! We sat outside and enjoyed the fountain and sitting in the shade.
