A little gem hidden in the arm pit of the Greater Los Angeles valley. Come here when you want a good roast beef sandwich. The food is above mediocre with it's cafeteria style food and darker ambiance. Plenty parking.

Classic BBQ done right! The ribs are tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The service is fast, and the portions are huge. The old-school vibe gives it character. Definitely worth the trip if you love BBQ.

It's hard to find old school BBQ places like this anymore. Most of the Chris 'n Pitts places are gone and places like the Bear Pit are far and few between. The baby back ribs were tender and tasty, and I love their barbeque beans! It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great place!!

Might be the worst ribs I’ve ever had. I ate 2 of a half a rack which was $32! I basically just ate the sides. My god that was bad!

They desperately need renovation. We hadn't been there in years and I'm sure that in 25 years they have done absolutely nothing to keep up with the tImes and to even do the basic upkeep. The place is a dump and the food was mediocre. The prices were extremely high for the quality of food. Not going back.

Get the bear pit special. It is a ham and beef sandwich served on garlic toast.
Get it with the beans and slaw. Absolutely the best. Been having that since 1974. !
