Original Clyde's Hot Chicken

We used to come here when the prices were reasonable, but the prices have doubled on everything. The food is good, but it's not worth the price. Wingstop wings and sandwiches are absolutely delicious and affordable, I'll be going there instead. Crazy prices, turn off for sure

Chicken was pretty good they have a fea different heat levels to choose from. I got the 1930 and the cluckin hot, neither were very hot as far as spice level.
They are pretty pricy for what you get.
Tables were not cleaned off I had to clean the table I sat at because there was still food remnants on it.
The people working are friendly but do not move fast at all.
I would have given more stars if the tables and everything was clean, the small sauce cups weren't $1 each, and the portions were bigger with better heat with their spices.

I probably won't return to this establishment as its not really something that I can see my self spending the money on for the quality of the food or the facility not being clean.

The server was nice. The food took a long time to be served and i only say that because we inly ordered one chicken sandwich combo. The food was decent, and just a little over priced. Wanted to like this place, but it wasnt worth the cost of the food. Better off going for a little drive to hit Dave's hot chicken or to Chino where there is alot of choices for hot chicken.

Food is just okay. Chicken is a little dry, and while the breading is good the chicken itself doesn't seem particularly well seasoned. I will say though, while the staff is a bit slow, it's not as though they're just standing around on their phones or something, they really seemed to be doing their best. Maybe I was fortunate but the woman who served me was very nice. But overall, a pretty average experience.

Been to the Montclair ca location several times and never had an issue. But for some reason on the date of Oct 14 2025 there were two employees. A cook and a cashier. The Cashier was not very knowledgeable, and couldn't really answer questions I had about certain food. So now to the issue..I was a little pressed for time. For my order to be prepared and finished took over 21 minutes! My wife actually had to get up and stand up to get the cashier's attention. Once she saw my wife, she told my wife the food was almost done. I almost decided to ask for a refund and leave without food.

Came in yesterday ordered some food… food was just OK as far as the chicken sandwich… kind of felt a little bit over Fried????.. called a couple days later to put in a phone order and they don’t even pick up the phone… walked in the restaurant call the store and the phone wasn’t working… and the guy at the counter was like sorry????? Wow….
Btw… went to howling Rays, but their chicken sandwich by itself cost $14 but it was twice as big and twice as juicy now I get it

Can take a minute for your food but worth the wait. The middle spice level is not that bad. Could do spicier

Delicious, and good service! Friendly staff got a 3 pc combo with crinkle fries hope to see bbq sauce here soon. Plenty parking and finally a restroom in the area thats clean. The pickles have the perfect crunch I got original spice and think I can go higher in heat next time.

No slaw no mac & cheese Definitely gone downhill

The wait was very bad, please work on hiring more staff they told me 15-20 it now going on 35 min that is very unacceptable and from what I see here I am not the only customer complaining about the wait the company really should consider this. I definitely will not return due to the wait.

Waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru and no one spoke to us or apologized for the wait. Get the receipt and found out the charged us for extra food we didn’t even receive
