The vibes were everything. Cool skatepark, lovely garden, and artistic cafe. The coffee and chai wasnt very good, but the baked goods were delicious.

Lightwave Coffee & Kitchen didn’t live up to the hype for me, unfortunately.
Coconut Curry: As a huge fan of vegan food, I had high hopes for the Coconut Curry, but it left me disappointed. The portion size was laughably small, and the flavor didn’t stand out at all. For a place with so much buzz, I expected much more substance and taste.
Hot Chocolate: The hot chocolate looked great with its nice presentation, but the taste was average at best. It didn’t leave any lasting impression, which was baffling considering the glowing reviews I’ve seen elsewhere.
Ambience: The ambience is definitely a strong point – cute and inviting, it’s a nice space to hang out. However, a good vibe only goes so far when the food doesn’t deliver.
Service: Service was just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing noteworthy either. It felt like they were just going through the motions.
Lightwave has potential with its lovely ambience, but the food and overall experience need significant improvement to match the hype.
Vegetarian options: Decent options, not very tasty though
I don't know what happened. May be the fact that owners were not there today contributed to the food taste. I loved shakshuka I had there in the past, but today it was a big disappointment: watery, and very plain tasting (I didn't taste any spice which a proper shakshuka should have). And since the pita was put on top of the dish, it also became soggy from all the steam coming up.
Hopefully my experience was one off and it's not an indicator of overall drop in food quality, but unfortunately I'm no planning to go back there.

Parking out front and in the back. Covered and open outdoor seating with mixed tables and benches. Very clean gender neutral bathrooms. Garden to walk through with plenty of veggies growing.

Great coffee yummy food - all you need. And a cute community garden right next to it. Perfect for kids
This is one of the coolest coffee shops I've ever been to, my Latte was creamy and very delicious. Also, it's connected to a very cool garden and a skate park.
What an absolutely darling little place! Situated in a veritable paradise - a blossoming community garden, with eclectic decor and an inviting yard. We had to taste everything so we each got something else. The Bagels were amazing and so were the Bourekas but the beach lafa was the standout. Packed a punch of flavor in the pillowy pita. Heaven! The coffee was great too. We got to meet one of the owners and he was a sheer delight. Love supporting young locals. Go check it out when you're in Sonoma!
