A couple of people, including the mother-to-be, have Celiac (cannot have wheat, barley or rye) and wanted to make sure this was a gluten free event so they wouldn't have to worry about eating the wrong thing or cross-contamination. I had a birthday party for my wife and wanted a really special cake for the occasion, I was told to look into Skiff's in Simi Valley and let me tell you it was a real pleasure to work with them. We sat down with Steve and he informed me of the variety of cake flavors, fillings and frostings as well as how they can decorate for any occasion. Not only did the cake look fabulous, what an incredible taste! The marble cake was light and flavorful and the raspberry filling flavorful but not grossly sweet with the butter cream frosting bringing it all together. So many compliments from our guests on how delicious the cake was with several going back for seconds. But let me talk to you about the decorating and coloring of the cake, Steve and his team took a photo of the flatware and napkin color theme and used that as their color palette. The detail was incredible and so well done I didn't want to slice it up. Thank you for making the occasion not just tasty but artistic. When we came in to order the cake we picked up some of their other delicious treats and let me tell you ALL were delicious as well. So if you want an incredibly delicious bakery for your upcoming event or just want to pick up a cake or pastries to enjoy at home Skiff's Bakery is your place. I ordered about three dozen cupcakes for a Christmas holiday party. I was concerned having never been here before. Happily: the cupcakes were spectacular both the decorations and the flavor .. the flavors reminded me of the great bakeries my mom used to visit. Skiff's has been around for quite a while and they really know what they're doing my order was ready right on time and neatly packaged to prevent damage. They were a big hit at the party. I will use them again.

We wanted a very minimalist wedding cake to cut just for photos, and Skiff's was amazing! Beforehand, we picked up a cake tasting box from them which included samples of all the possible cake, filling, and frosting flavors. The ordering process was easy- We sat down with an employee, described the size we wanted, number of tiers, flavors, and emailed an inspiration photo for the design. The bakery quickly got back to us on final pricing based on the design. The pricing was reasonable and they delivered to the venue as well. About a week before the wedding, they called to confirm final details. Skiff's is definitely the go-to bakery in the Simi Valley area for special cakes for any occasion. Skiffs made an amazing western wedding cake for us! They take time to sit and discuss with you. The cake was beautiful and very moist and delicious. Affordable, too. Just darn nice people makin darn good cakes! You can even buy a sample of all the cake flavors and fillings so see which you would like best!

Walked in to order a Birthday cake for my daughter. The young man at the counter was very courteous. When asked if I could order a cake for Saturday, he was about to answer, when a short lady in the background says "no." The young man looked back at her and then said, "we can't, were busy." What I find rude is she could've said, "No, sorry, we can not make a cake for Saturday." I was taken a back, and decided I will not give them my business.. ever!

I am so so so happy with how my sons cake turned out for his first birthday. My mom was the one who called to place the order and I told her what I wanted, which was the sunglasses theme from the invite on the cake. My mom initially spoke with Steve about making the cake. Wendy then confirmed the order with my mom and Omar suggested the ombré of colors around the cake as well as the palm trees in frosting. Such great service from start to finish, the cake turned out even better than i could have imagined and it was so delicious. I think we may have found our new bakery for all of our cake needs. Most recently, we ordered a custom cake for my daughter's 20th birthday, and it was nothing short of amazing--both in flavor and design.However, what truly set this visit apart was the phenomenal customer service, specifically from a young employee named Joseph. While we were there, I witnessed Joseph going above and beyond to assist an elderly customer with physical limitations. He not only helped her to her vehicle but also carefully placed her cake in the car and assisted her into her seat, closing the door gently behind her.His actions were genuinely caring and respectful--a rare find in today's world of customer service. It's the little things like this that make a difference and keep us coming back to Skiff's Cakes for our special occasions.Kudos to Joseph and his parents for raising such a considerate young man. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Skiffs Cakes! From the service to the flavors, everything was absolutely top notch! For my wedding, I ordered a combination of cake and cupcakes. The cake was a beautiful 3 tier cake with different flavors in each tier. My husband is from Costa Rica so he absolutely LOVES coffee, so we picked a cappuccino filling for one cake and a coffee cupcake to pair it with. Both were absolutely delicious! I'm from Santa Paula, (the lemon capital of the world!) so of course I picked a lemon poppy cake and Steve recommended a lemon cupcake to pair it with, which was an excellent choice. And who doesn't love chocolate? So we also did a beautiful red velvet cake with cookies and cream filling which paired with some delicious red velvet cupcakes. Everything was super tasty and I'm definitely ordering from there again! Wendy's artwork on the cake was also beautiful! Got many compliments from guests. Steve's flower arrangement really tied the whole thing together and I'm just so happy I found them! Definitely recommend Skiff's Cakes! 10 out of 10!

When we unveiled the cake all the kids were so excited and everyone present agreed this cake was delicious, and not just lovely to look at. I decided to try after seeing an extremely lovely Lego cake at a kids birthday I had attended, they had made. The flavor of the cakes was quite delicious and I will definitely be returning. I only tried one of the cupcakes and it was delicious and the filling kept it from being dry. I saw a bunch of stuff I'd like to go back and try. I did sample a mini e lair and my mouth watered over the cherry tart. I really wanted to try a cheesecake bite, which is how I know I will be returning!

The decor needs a serious updating and that almost stopped me from going in but that aside, I was so happy with all of my purchases. I got six different cupcakes and each one was so good and so unique. My favorite part is each one has a filling that really helps with additional flavor and making the cupcake moist. I got a couple sugar cookies that I really enjoyed and I got a brownie slice. The brownies had frosting on them which is my favorite and I find hard to find. The young man helping me was efficient and pleasant. I can't believe I have visited Simi so many times and never stopped here but now this will be a regular stop for sure.
