My new favorite takeout spot. The meat is well seasoned, juicy, tender with so much flavor. Rice and beans are also very good, not dry or plain at all. Great salsas and sauces. HANDS DOWN THE BEST HORCHATA I’ve ever had in my life. Thanks for existing Zapoteca!
I don't have a bit of Hispanic heritage in me. But if I did, I have to imagine La Zapoteca would make me feel nostalgic for a family that isn't mine.
It's a tiny place. Unassuming. But the food. Oh my, it's made with love. The flavors are deep and complex and rich and salty and spicy and warming. The cafe de olla is maybe the best I've ever had. The salsa macha is perfect (I can't get mine to come out the same at home).
