Love this longtime community favorite. Highly recommend for an enjoyable dining experience without feeling rushed or pressured to keep things moving so they can turn your table for the next guest.

We had a lovely, quiet dinner. I started with an appetizer special, calamari in a yummy lemon/butter sauce, followed by the ravioli and prawns. My husband enjoyed the mushroom soup followed by the veal. We shared a tiramisu and a couple of espressos. The piano man, Bob, played a couple of requested songs. Delightful. Our server Nemo, was very professional and didn't rush us. We are the ultimate slow eaters!

We came here on a weekday after Valentine's Day and so glad we did. First, corkage charge is unbeatable!! The focaccia was light and the bread dip was very good. We had appetizers of the mushroom soup which was divinely indulgent and the salad which had a nice addition of raisins to counter the acidity of the balsamic vinegar. We both had the same prosciutto pasta dish but my request for long noodles was happily accepted. (I may have created a new dish). The server was attentive at the right times and it was entertaining watching him serve the other tables with the same attentiveness. After coffee and gelato, we were served a complimentary apéritif of homemade biscotti and Marsala wine. It was an indulgent evening that we are looking forward to repeating in the very near future.

Their website menu is not the same as what we get in the restaurant. Some choices are different, and the prices are really different. Waiters are old times Italians - reminds me of the older places in North Beach. Almost gruff and disinterested. Food was so-so and didn't come with what was listed as sides in the menu. Where's the asparagus?! Mostly over seasoned. Salads were good, thanks to a fine balsamic vinaigrette. That "8 oz pour" for wine must be metric measure - maybe 5, if you ignore evaporation. Hmm ... thinking I was overly generous with the stars.

it was Valentines day and overall they did a great job. It will a little noisy but that is expected when the place is full plus they had a piano player which added to the noise level. I would recommend this place..the entrees were great, the desert was excellent and I would highly recommend their capuccino!

Waited more than an hour between courses, the food finally came out burnt, over cooked, cold and poorly seasoned. Shame I've been here before and had a much better experience, maybe it was just a bad day.

Five adults and one 8 year old girl all agreed we loved the food and had a wonderful birthday celebration for four family members. We tasted each others dishes and had plenty to take home for next day lunch. Service was great and not intrusive. We will be back!

We came to celebrate New Years Eve. Tony, our server, was very cordial and anticipated our needs. We enjoyed the wine, Mista salad, Melanzane alla Parmigiana, Pollo Marsalese and warm chocolate cake. I appreciate their having vegetarian options. The pianist was a nice touch!

Wonderful cozy restaurant with great food! Sole dinner is out of this world and spaghetti and meatballs were delicious!! I can not say enough about the beet salad!! Thank you to Chef Jeff!!

Beautiful restaurant decorated smartly for the holiday. Service was terrible we waited forever for our food and had to remind the waiter. Food was below average for a restaurant that charged premium prices. Would not recommend.

Moraga is fortunate to have a first-class, white tablecloth restaurant tucked away in the strip mall near the Safeway. La Finestra was a long-time favorite in Lafayette until a fire damaged the building it was in, so the owner, Jeff, relocated his operation to Moraga, where his restaurant has become popular with parents visiting their children attending St. Mary's College, which is just a few minute's drive away. Jeff and his head waiter Tony are warm and welcoming to all visitors. The foot is very good.

We love This restaurant. Delicious food and most friendly service. We often enjoy the scalone, eggplant Parmesan and rollatine. Their home made focaccia bread with garlic olive oil is also delicious.
