Ice cream cookies sandwiches are what Its-It should have been. I always said that the Its-It would be better if the cookie was softer. Loard’s has done it. Their ice cream sandwich has a soft cookie that you can bite through without worrying about a visit to the dentist.

I have been in Moraga for 10 months and finally found this delicious ice cream shop and tried it. I ordered Burgun cherry and coffee. Both flavors were delicious enough. I will be leaving Moraga soon but I think we will be thinking about this ice cream flavor later.

Yesterday we stumbled upon this hidden treasure in Moraga. It brought back memories of the candy/ice cream shops of our youth. And the delightful Areana made our visit all the more wonderful - sweet, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.

We booked loards for catering our wedding in August 2024. Claudina was very professional and had great communication during the whole process. She clearly explained the options and prices during our phone calls.
Once we booked with Loards, Claudina even came to our rehearsal to preview the space and made sure everything was all set. When her team came to the wedding, they served ice cream and were very friendly, professional, and efficient. I’m pretty sure all of our guests got ice cream and there weren’t long lines or delays at all (we had about 120 guests).
Along with loving Loards ice cream from growing up in the Bay Area, I’d highly recommend booking with Loards for a wedding or event or even just stopping by when you see a local shop! :)

Lord’s Ice Cream in Moraga is like finding a hidden oasis of sweetness in the middle of town. As a dad from with a one-year-old and a three-year-old, I appreciate places that make the whole family feel welcome, and Lord’s does just that.
Walking in feels like stepping into a local treasure, where the staff greets you like old friends. They were super friendly with our kids, and we easily found a cozy spot to park our stroller inside next to the table.
The ice cream was a hit with the little ones, and the extra spoons they gave us made sharing a breeze. With napkins ready on the table, the experience was as smooth as a scoop of their creamy vanilla.
Lord’s Ice Cream isn’t just a treat; it’s a Moraga tradition. We love coming here, and I can see us making this a regular stop for years to come. This place is a real gem, worth every trip from Lafayette!

As someone who grew up with Loard’s, it’s a good ice cream but it’s more for that hometown ice cream feel. It’s good but definitely nothing fancy. My favorite thing about them is that they serve peppermint ice cream year round!
