This is a fantastic restaurant. The buttermilk chicken sandwich and the tater tots are perfect. It’s a very pleasant place inside and out and the staff and owners are lovely. Taking my wife a Karaage chicken sandwich now because she loves spicy food and I think she’ll love this. First time of many visits, I’m sure!Kid-friendliness: Owners have kids - very welcoming. I tried the coconut curry chicken upon. Out was delish! I even bought more broth to take gone and add to the large portion of noodles they give. The restaurant is small and definitely not where you go for ambiance, but the food was tasty and seems very fresh. The owners are kind and seem very committed to their healthy, nourishing, and very tasty cooking. Unfortunately, I have moved from the area, but if you are in the neighborhood I would definitely suggest a lunch stop or picking up some excellent take- out.

Stopped by here while my pet was at the vet over lunch hour. Tucked away in the main (?) Moraga strip mall. Wow. Definitely in the top 5 chicken sandwiches I’ve eaten in my life. I got the karrage chicken sandwich and a side of sweet potato fries. Food came out very quickly. The chicken was perfect — crispy exterior, plump juicy tender interior, between two pillowy buns. Lamorinda - come check it out!!

Not really going off ambience here, but strictly on food and service. It is damn good rice and chicken and that Hawaiian style macaroni salad. The chicken is moist, well flavored and not overly sauced or sweet. The drink selections are much appreciated and the folks who run the joint are there to make sure you enjoy the experience. It's a place with food that makes you want to come back and people you want to support. Lou's - we're lucky to have you in Lamorinda!

I think the fried chicken is good but the slaw is weird and the Mac n cheese also isn't great. It's too bad the sides aren't as delicious or else I would be there more often. Hoping they can add some broccoli or some other kind of vegetables options or even regular salad without that weird cole slaw.
Food is amazing. Nice people. There is only one problem with this place and that is that it always seems to be closed when I want to go. The hours should be extended a bit.

I’m continually impressed by the quality of food and well thought out beverage selection… beer, wine and non booze drinks.Great ppl, great service, and they sure know how to prepare a yard bird. I had a great experience at Lou’s Chicken Shop. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was amazing. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful, and the sides were delicious too.
