We enjoyed the wine, although there was a weird scent to the wine. But what we mostly did not enjoy, was the lack of customer service and engagement from the person serving the wine. This is the second time I’ve come to try this wine and the wine pourer just stands there and does her own thing listening to our conversation. We may have been the only people there to try wine but don’t you feel it’s just as important to give us information on the winery and thoughts to the wine we are trying? No “hello” when we walked in or no answer to “how are you?”.

Love the Ambiance at Alara 🍷 Especially the beautiful artwork on the walls and wine labels. The Pinot and Grenache are my favorite!

Janu makes some of the most flavorful, finest wines in Santa Clara Valley. Great downtown tasting room location that is beautiful.

Great place for a wine tasting! Wonderfully decorated with vintage chandeliers and exposed brick. Bar is a beautiful live edge and space is generous. Outdoor child-friendly seating is available. Labels from the bottles are represented in paintings on the wall and brighten the exposed brick interior. Wines are wonderful of course, one of my all time favorite Cabernets is produced here. Most of the wines are French varietals and delicious. Highly recommend a tasting! Open daily 12-6.
