This was the first time my wife and I ate here since the restaurant was sold. A big disappointment. We ordered the combination plate and we both ordered the broccoli chicken , it came with a dark sauce that was purely Salt. It was awful, my wife ate just a bit and I forced myself to eat about half. Really very salty. I decided to take home both portions and when we got home, I got our colander and I put the broccoli chicken and rinsed that awful salty sauce. I don't see any reason why I ever need to return. As far as service it was just ok, there was a young server that was nice and she was the only server. Never again will we return.

This is not chinese food!
I have lunch here yesterday. I have been living in Morgan Hill for over 27 years and have ordered food from China Palace for years. It’s always been the go to. I ordered lettuce wraps and egg rolls. I was so disappointed about the ingredients in the lettuce wraps gave the impression they are cutting corners. Peas and carrots do not go in lettuce wraps. The egg rolls were poorly executed. The food is horrible. Also, my husband ordered shrimp egg foo young. It’s was scrabbled eggs with shrimp on top. Again, poorly executed and tasted bad. I am done with this restaurant. Too bad the owners sold it to someone who doesn’t know how to cook Chinese food.
This is by far one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The food: superb, customer service: excellent, ambiance: peaceful and they have daily specials, even on the weekends. I highly recommend this place!
This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. Taste was great and a lot of it. I highly recommend it.
be careful if you use a credit card, I was there March 20,2025 around 5:30 pm and they did $200 in fraud on my card. I had to cancel my card get another one, I will not be going there again
I want to start by saying that I have been going to China Palace for close to 35 years. It was my favorite restaurant as a kid. My go-to. But not anymore.
My husband and I came here for lunch on Saturday at 1pm the restaurant was empty should have been our first clue. We haven't eaten here for approximately 9 year, we moved out of the area for a while. The last time was right around the time they moved to this location, and it was good at that time. However, our experience was disappointing, to say the less. We got the lunch specials. I got the tofu vegetables, and he got the sweet and sour pork as our mains. When the food came out, the first thing I did was break my egg role in half and start to take a bite.
It was cold in the middle, and there was a strong oder of rotten cabbage - a very distinctive smell. We told the waitresses she looked at us. and then said.... (OK, I will tell the cook) and then walked away.... our expectations after working in the restaurant industry for many years. Was for them to replace them with fresh ones, but they didn't even take them away. The rest of the food was also not the best, overlay salty. The noodles were overcooked. Just poor quality. I ate like 1/3 of my food . When it was time to pay, my husband asked if we could get a couple of dollars off for the egg roles, and the waitress just plain said no. Fine whatever shitty food and services 😒. But the best part is my husband and I both have food poisoning like symptoms. Yeah. Very memorable experience!!!! Never again!!
This place has really fallen. The new owners have completely ruined the quality of the food and the style of cooking. I have been coming here for over 25 years and can't believe how terrible it has become. I won't be coming back. Morgan Hill has lost its best Chinese restaurant. This sucks
Food is bland. I'm used to tasty Chinese food. They do serve a big plate...lots of food.
They just need to add more spices to their dish.

It’s bigger than it looks from the outside! They can easily handle large parties. The staff was very nice. At the time my family member and I went, we were the only ones in there for a while, but then a couple came in. I guess we beat the rush. We were there in the early evening hours on July 19, 2024. Saw a lot of people coming for takeout, so they seem pretty popular??

Very little taste and my food is all mixed together like a soup. The rice should be separated from the everything else. The servers are nice that about it. Get some cooks who can actually cook and prepare the food.
Recently dined at this place when I visited my parents with family in morgan hill. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and service set the tone for a fantastic meal.
Each dish was a burst of flavor, the chef's prawns was presented nicely in a "hot pot" dish, very tasty lightly fried big shrimp in special sauce with just the right balance of sweet and spicy!
we are big fan of shrimp so we ordered the walnut shrimp too, crispy on the outside in white sauce and meaty on the inside, yumyum.
The House fried rice is big portion it's different from other regular fried rice out there.
The eggplant in brown sauce is very flavorful.
The restaurant had a cozy yet elegant ambiance, relaxing. Delightful experience, worth a visit.

I am not very happy customer. I went in today, and took my food to go and tasted the food. It was very salted. I called and they told me they couldn't refund me, and they told me to bring the food back and they would remake it. And even had to say that they would have to taste the food and so to see if i was saying the truth!!!If the owner reads this review, I hope you can reach out to me.
