Greeted by hostess Antonela as we arrived. It was a short wait for a Friday night, but the friendliness, great service & conversation with Antonela and the delicious food and cocktails made it a great start to the weekend.

Best restaurant in Morgan Hill-- This place gets BUSY and for a good reason! Margarita's has the best service, ambiance, and consistent cuisine + tops all of the restaurants in the area for this reason. The staff is always friendly, and the food is amazing. Try their table side guacamole, never tasted anything better. The house margarita and pina colada are delectable. You can tell that this place is well thought out, and that they care about their service and attention to detail. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, you have to go there and experience it yourself!

I'd leave zero stars if I could. Staff sat us and nobody came to take a drink or food order for half an hour. Multiple waitresses and waiters walked by us and wouldn't stop. We finally got the hint- they didn't want to serve us. We asked the man at the front and he just said "oh sorry let me see". Another ten minutes went by and we left. It was so apparent they didn't care to serve us that I wondered why such a place would be in business. I doubt the food was worth waiting for.

So I'm from Southern California, where the real Mexican food is real and true. I moved up here and I have yet to find a real Mexican restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food without trying to substitute Anaheim peppers for Poblano peppers on their Chile Relleno. Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles use only Anaheim Peppers.

The service was attentive and helpful. The menu has many delicious entrees available. Chips and well spiced salsa were delivered to our table almost as soon as we took our seats. We ordered Nachos and Steak Fajitas.Both arrived quickly.Both were very generous portions. Both tasted fresh and very good. The large cold beer and Margarita were an excellent accompaniment to the meal. The ambience is traditional Mexican and very nice.

The fishbowl margaritas are nice and decently priced for the size. The food itself is average, but not a bad spot for a date.
