Excellent service, good food, with good portions. The swordfish was slightly overdone and needed an aioli for flavor. The spaghetti is al dente, and the meatballs are made with sweet sausage. Very good wine list.Wheelchair accessibility: Good accessibility

Such a welcoming small Italian restaurant, here in Morgan Hill South County, just good food and wonderful hosts. It is a very small restaurant so make reservations ahead of time. Especially a day before for a Friday or Saturday dinner.I recommend to start off with their delicious roasted garlic in olive oil with their fresh baked bread. For an appetizer the fried calamari and the Burrata Con Prosciutto. The Fettuccine w/ prawns or chicken is always delicious, you can add vegetables if you like, my family's favorite. I always order the Tortellini Con Proscuitto, it's so delicious, even though I want to get other options but I always end up with this plate, my favorite. You can always ask for classic Italian dishes and they do offer it. They have an ok wine list, but I always bring my favorite wine bottle (cork fee applies). Overall a good Italian spot that's reasonably priced and a place that I'd definitely recommend out of all the other ones out here.

Food and service is excellent! The restaurant is nice inside and has a casual elegance. The atmosphere was great during lunch. Quiet enough to have a nice conversation. I would go back.

Simply put, 2 years now attending this establishment. Small, quaint, outstanding service by ALL staff complimented by consistent 2nd to none food. I've brought family, friends here with every expectation of being outstanding and have never been let down. I stopped my emotional and gastric beating with Ladera. Georgio's, one and done... no thanks. See you again soon Maurizios!

Have you ever had a sandwich with awesome bread and meh filling? Figuratively, I did tonight.Maurizio's is a long-lived restaurant in the small town of Morgan Hill and still maintains a strong Yelp rating to this day. I somehow managed to avoid trying them despite moving here almost two decades ago and then effectively moving out, but I took the opportunity during my latest holiday trip back to make a long-awaited visit. I was very fortunate to find parking right there on 1st St, and the restaurant was busy but not too crowded that we couldn't just walk in.The first part of the aforementioned sandwich was the appetizers. We ordered two of them and also literally received bread. It was a simple warmed ciabatta with roasted garlic in olive oil. Garlic is more than enough of a flavor punch in this application, and refills of both bread and garlic oil are complimentary. They brought out the ordered apps together. We first tried the puzzling "Arancini" ($15). I can't figure out if they're pulling our collective leg or what, but it's not the fried risotto balls which you might be used to seeing with this name. Instead, it's balls of spreadable goat cheese with apricot mixed in, which you can spread on top of crostini and top with caramelized Maui onion and a lightly sweet strawberry sauce. Frankly, those flavors are far more interesting to me than anything I've had in Italian fried balls. Oh, and you probably shouldn't feel the need to overload the crostini because they offered free refills of that too.The Carpaccio di Bue ($19.00) was also very good. The thinly sliced beef was so tender, the mixed greens were fresh and tasty, and I forgot that truffle oil was even a component so it must've not been overpowering. A squeeze of the included lemon wedge is great here and also fun in your complimentary glass of water.Despite them saying that the entrées would be spaced out to arrive after the apps, they showed up surprisingly fast. I'm not 100% sure if this impacted my enjoyment, but the Petrale Sole special ($34.00) fell a bit short. They stated that it was parmesan-crusted and seared, and I found that crust to be a little soggy except for the first bite from the tapered end of the filet. I did find the fish to be tender though. The potatoes were also soft but could've been a little crispier, while the cooked veggies were fine. The white wine caper sauce didn't do much for me, and I found myself adding garlic and oil to get a flavor punch in my mouth. The Cannelloni di Carne, aka Cannelloni al Forno ($25.00), was more enjoyable but also didn't especially thrill me. The pasta tubes seemed al dente enough, and the meat had balanced seasoning and moisture. The tomato sauce was nice but not fantastic. It might've been even worse without the hefty scoop of parmesan (from a bowl, not grated tableside). I wonder how boring the other entrees are if this is really the favorite of one of the servers. There isn't a printed menu for desserts (or, for that matter, non-alcoholic beverages), but the options which our server listed seemed to be everyday Italian desserts without much seasonality. Upon hearing that there was one last slice of Tiramisu ($15.00), we jumped on the opportunity. The ladyfingers were so soft and the cream was rich and delicious. This wouldn't have been out of place in any but the most upscale Italian restaurants (where presentation value is expected).Service was attentive. Multiple employees checked on us throughout the meal, refilling water and the aforementioned bread, and trying to remove the entrée plates with sauces before we'd sponged them all up. Noise level wasn't too loud even though conversation was generally louder than the Italian-sounding music. Lighting was predictably dim.Maurizio's is a solid choice if you're in the area. The menu may be simple, but they do a pretty good job with their regular items.
