Been wanting to try this place when I’m in town and finally had the opportunity.
Food is full of sabor. We made it right before the end of happy hour which has great deals on drinks and apps. We sat outside since it was so nice outside and enjoyed the Queso fundido w/chorizo, Chicharrón dumplings and nachos w/carne asada. Will definitely be back!

The atmosphere and service at this establishment are truly phenomenal. From the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the presentation of the food is nothing short of artistic—it looks like a five-star meal.
However, the experience falls apart once you actually take a bite. Despite the stunning appearance, the food tasted like absolutely nothing. There was a total lack of seasoning and depth, making it impossible to justify the price point based on flavor alone. I’m giving three stars solely for the world-class service and the beautiful environment, but if you’re looking for a meal that tastes as good as it looks, this isn't it.

We have been a few times recently and really enjoy the food. They now have beer and wine on the menu which is great. Looking forward to trying out the happy hour.

One of the few restaurants open on Monday in downtown Morgan Hill. Our server was happy to share about the menu and get feedback you could tell how much pride they have in their work. Will come back!

Good food and fair prices. They use Toast POS, and I did not receive a receipt.

I was happy to leave a 20%+ tip because the meal was solid, but I was surprised when I didn’t receive a bit of extra salsa when asked.

It’s a small detail, but it definitely dampened the experience.

Good food and service. Still new so hopefully real PreHispanic decor is represented. We forgot to take photos. Definitely recommend!

This was our first time here. I ordered the cochinita pibil cazuela and my husband the 2 taco (shrimp & mahi mahi)
The quality was excellent and light. I like to taste the flavors of the food without many salsas. The cazuela was just perfect.

Service was also excellent!

We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Just wanted to see what this place was about since it is new. Here’s my honest opinion:

Food was way overpriced. I think it’s catered to the rich people/ tourists in Morgan hill.

I got 2 tacos, ($7 each). comes with a side of beans and rice. Also got a hibiscus tea. Costs $30 with tacos that fall apart, and the beans and rice had no flavor or seasoning.
Super bland. The tea wasn’t great neither.

Chips and salsa should be a standard appetizer. When I asked the waiter for some, he said they’d have to charge and it was $5 or something ridiculous. He mentioned that the tortillas are handmade, and that’s why they charge. I get inflation and costs but cmon, chips and salsa for $5? Bunk.

The tacos weren’t the best neither, the meat was ok, but the “handmade” tortillas didn’t add any flavor boost or bring the flavors of the meat out.

Overpriced is my critical opinion. for $10 I can make my own chips and salsa that’ll last a few days and feed a crowd. For $40 i can have a bbq that’ll feed 3-5 people.

The waiter was ok, not super professional but average.

it was a waste of my time and money. Seems like a place for a money grab disregarding authenticity.
I won’t be coming here again.

Absolutely loved my dinner at Pre-Hispanic Mexican Cuisine in Morgan Hill! We went on a quiet Tuesday night, and even though the place was almost empty, the cozy atmosphere made it feel welcoming and intimate, perfect for a relaxed meal.
The star of the show was the Cochinita Pibil (Yucatán-style braised pork)…it was fall-off-the-bone tender, bursting with rich, authentic flavors from the traditional marinade. The tacos and potatoes we tried had incredible depth of flavor too; definitely not your standard fare, in the best way.
Portions were generous, and the presentation was gorgeous; everything looked as good as it tasted. The staff was super friendly and attentive—they kept our drinks refilled without hovering. Desserts were solid: churros hit the spot, though the flan was a bit lumpy.
This spot brings something truly special to Morgan Hill with its pre-Hispanic-inspired dishes. Highly recommend for anyone craving elevated, authentic Mexican cuisine. We’ll be back soon! 🌮

Went here for lunch. Parking can be a bit difficult to find. There are a few parking structures nearby.
We found a table without wait.
Our server was friendly. The order came out fairly quickly.
Kids loved the chicken tacos.
I especially liked the fish burrito which was more of a custom request. They modified the chicken burrito and substituted the chicken for fish.
Papas Bravas was also a pleasant surprise. Potatoes were crunchy on the outside.
The veggie tacos were also good.
Overall we really like the food, ambiance and the service.
