The BBQ was delicious! The staff was very friendly and accommodating brought my order right out to my car and they listened to pickup instructions as I wanted an extra BBQ sauce which they included! :)

Trail Dust BBQ has a fun, casual atmosphere and some solid barbecue options. The brisket and ribs were definitely the stars; tender, flavorful, and served in generous portions. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food.
The sides were okay, but the mac and cheese really missed the mark for me. It tasted more like pasta with Alfredo sauce than classic mac and cheese, which was disappointing.
Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re craving barbecue and a laid-back vibe. I’d go back for the brisket and ribs, but I’d skip the mac and cheese next time.
I’m a huge fan of Trail Dust BBQ’s smoked chicken and hot links — tasty and cooked to perfection. I go to Trail dust at least once a week, which speaks for the quality and taste. The Firebird chicken sandwich with mac and cheese is my go to order.
My only constructive feedback is on their red meats. The tri-tip, brisket, and burnt ends are smoked well, but they’re lacking flavor. They need to do something about adding seasoning/marinating/dry rubs on their red meat. Their burnt ends were disappointing — they were heavily drenched in a very sweet BBQ sauce, and for the price, I found them a bit too fatty.
Everything else hits: fantastic rotating desserts. The sides absolutely shine — garlic bread, potato salad, mac and cheese, and BBQ beans are all excellent. And having beer on tap is something I’m especially looking forward to enjoying during the summer months.
This place is truly a gem in Morgan Hill / the South Bay, and I genuinely want this place to thrive! With better seasoning on the red meats, this place could easily be top-tier BBQ in the South Bay.
