Wow what an unfortunate experience. I’ve eaten at Willard Hicks in Campbell many times so we thought this would be a safe (if somewhat overpriced) brunch spot to get in and out as it wasn’t nearly as busy as stacks next door. We arrived at around 12:30 on Sunday to find 3 or 4 tables seated. We were seated and it took around 15 minutes for our server to get around to us the first time to bring water and take a drink order. He wasn’t able to provide any input on different alcoholic options (fine) so we ordered a latte and a beer. It took over 20 minutes for the beer and latte to arrive. In a mostly empty restaurant. My wife ordered the frittata and I ordered the steak and eggs. We had somewhere we needed to be at 2:00 but we figured 80 minutes is more than enough time for brunch at an uncrowded restaurant. Well, the food took almost an hour from the time it was ordered, and when it did arrive they had forgotten my wife’s side of bacon and my steak (while tasty, I’ll admit) arrived completely cold. Like no ambient heat from cooking remained whatsoever. We had been waiting very patiently for our food but when we finally mentioned that we had to leave in 20 minutes and asked if the food would be coming soon the waiter went to check to see if it was ready and we were told it would be 4 more minutes so not sure how the steak got so cold in that time. Finally when I told the server the steak was cold, his response was simply a flat “do you want it?” To which I was simply dumbfounded. No apology, no attempt to make it right, just so disinterested in anything to do with the job. I told him I definitely wasn’t paying for a cold steak that took an hour to arrive and he just walked away with the steak (sure take the steak but I’ve never had an experience where the food came out absolutely off and not had any attempt at an apology or anything.) We paid for the drinks and her food and left and we will not be returning. So disappointing. Maybe their dinner service is better but I absolutely cannot recommend them for brunch unless you have all day and you like cold food.

The food at Willard Hicks is very good, but the service is rushed at best. The first server took our order. A second server brought our appetizer but we were only half way through our appetizer when a third server brought out our dinner and asked if we wanted to have the appetizer cleared. I told him that we weren't finished and not ready for the main course but he just left the dinner on the table. The first server came over to ask how our dinner was while we were still trying to finish our appetizer and I told her that I didn't know as we were still trying to enjoy the first course, while the swordfish just cooled on the table. The entire dining experience took less than an hour and we were very disappointed in the experience. This is a restaurant where patrons should go expecting to enjoy a night out, but they are running it like a fast food restaurant...get them in and get them out. BTW, it was not a busy evening, so there was no reason to rush us through the meal. We have been going to this restaurant for over five years, and have noticed a decline in the quality of their service. Again, the food has always been very good, but what good is it when it all arrives at your table at just about the same time? We will take a long pause before giving the restaurant another chance.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much. Everything was good and came out pretty quickly. We got our appetizer right away which was nice. We all left feeling satisfied and a nice add on was the cookie and ice cream brought out by our waitress for our anniversary celebration.
The staff went above and beyond to make it a great experience. We had a late reservation on a Monday night to celebrate our anniversary and our server was excellent and did not make us feel rushed at all. Our food was delicious... my wife ordered the risotto with scallops and she raved about how amazing it was. Great night at WH. We will be returning.
We went in on a Tuesday. It was dark and moody, but we were seated immediately. The food was good, we were looking for a steak, and we had a delicious one. Nothing was overwhelmingly good, so being from another area, I'm not sure we will search this place out again. If you are in the area, it would be a good celebratory dinner.

Food is absolutely delicious. Great anniversary place. My husband got the swordfish, which was a terrible price for the size of it. 3 bites and gone. Other than that would recommend.

Everything was good but it really took sooo long to get our food (main and then dessert) with very little follow up. There was hardly anyone there on a Monday too. Food was delish though! We got the french onion soup, short rib pasta, and the pork chop for dinner and the buttercake for dessert.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It wasn't crowded, so the noise level was perfect. Our service was outstanding, and the food was amazing, cooked to perfection. I don't have one complaint.

We went for my husband's birthday specifically so he could get the filet and the didn't have any. There were hardly any patrons in the restaurant, so it wasn't because everyone was ordering the filet. The service was meh, and the whole experience was disappointing. They did bring a cookie with ice cream and a candle, but the disappointment was already experienced by that point.
I made plans for my birthday and the steak was not warm. It was like warm, they put frozen butter piece on the steak that didn't melt. The waitress tried her best to make things better but it was definitely an unpleasant experience for my birthday. Probably won't be going back.
The service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre at best. The restaurant wasn't busy but our service forgot our order and we had to remind him. The food was so so, lacked variety and didn't justify the price.
This has turned into one of our favorite places to dine. It's worth driving up from salinas for. We've tried a little bit of everything salads, tacos, ribs and burgers everything has been amazing for the exception of their regular fries which isn't such a big deal. On Saturdays we've gone they have live music.
Went for National Filet Mignon Day and had filets with buddies. Tuesday night and not crowded at all. Natalie our server was excellent and made sure everything we ordered came out right. Good time!
